'Useless' Spells



This is just a short listing of some spells that probably won't do much for your character's combat potential but might help to fill out his background a bit.

Mend

Description: This spell repairs minor damage (rips, tears, (bullet) holes, etc) to clothing or cloth-like items (tarps, for instance). Mend won't restore lost armor rating, neither will it turn a rag back into an Armani suit.

Remove Stain

Description: This one does exactly what it says: it removes stains. Deep, huh? Btw, the nastier the stain, the harder it is to remove. [GM's discretion]

Likenew

Description: Likenew will bring back the brand-new feel to any item that it is cast on. The farther away from brand-new that item is, the greater the number of successes required to restore it (e.g. only one success is required for a car that's been kept in cherry condition, but 5 or 6 might be necessary to get that new car feeling back in a rolling wreck). Likenew won't repair anything but cosmetic damage.

Lighter

Description: Well, if any of you have taken up that unhealthy habit of smoking, then you just might have a use for this one. Lighter gives that nifty "flame out of the fingertip" effect you've seen so many times on the trid. Remember, though, only you can prevent forest fires. <<INSERT_CHEESY_SMILE>>

Correct Vision

Description: For the truly knife-shy (and overly rich) this spell will correct those vision problems normally corrected with surgery of corrective optics.

Heatup

Description: A magical answer to the microwave. It'll heat up food, water,

Dry

Description: Do you want to at least take a guess? No? Are you sure? Well, then, this nifty spell will dry out something (clothes, for instance). It won't clean it, but if you happen to be out in the rain some day...

Mow

Description: You might take a quick guess and figure out that this spell is for those among you with lawns. Lawns? You know, those things around houses where grass grows?
