FurryMUCK was also my introduction to MUCKs, MUDs, and MU*s of all sorts. I recieved my first character there in 1995, Yeman, who is now but a memory. Yeman's concept was too confined, being entirely IC and not in a way truly compatible with FM, so he became Pelgras, who is also entirely IC and happens to be compatible with FM, being terribly ky00te and hyper.
Stryck appeared before that changeover, as a personal furry. Stryck acts, talks, and thinks much like myself. To make it easier to play out my moods, I've added quite a few morphs to her.
Her original form is that of a silver and black gryphon- half lion, half eagle- the creature of myth and heraldry. Inspired by Mercedes Lackey's Black Gryphon book, I created a gryfalcon morph- peregrin falcon/panther.
As winter came on and I wished for a fluffier morph, I created a snowy gryphon- snowy owl/snow leopard- that was soon followed by a winged panther morph to express my more catlike tendencies.
A bad experience with the Toon Capacitor Mark II created the Winged Pink Panther form, the only toon form I have ever had.
After a few months with Stryck, I stumbled across OwlHaven Literary Lodge, which has become a second home for her. There, she was made an honorary "couch 'coon", which spawned yet another morph, half great horned owl, half raccoon. And finally, the lynxes got to her, which is why she sometimes becomes a "grynx", which is half gyrfalcon and half lynx.
