autobot - Tuesday, June 27, 2000, 10:34 PM ------------------------------------------ Typhoon stands outside Alice and Scales's lair. Scales opens the door carefully and peeks in. "Alice is napping on her rock. Don't let her get out!" Roadrunner sneaksneaks in, after Scales. Mortar walks in, carrying a small box...it look a -bit- like a big, heavy lunchbox. Typhoon bends, bracing herself to catch a 'giant' snake, just in case. Scales and Alice's Lair (#7390) The center of this room is a sunken pool filled with water in which some plants float. Around the pool sits a layer of gravel with some large rocks. This part is the dwelling place of Scales' pet snake, Alice. Above there is a fairly wide shelf running around the walls. A cage sits on one side where some various small mammals occassionally dwell until fed to Alice, while some odds and ends that belong to Scales sit on the other. Under the shelves are attached sun-lamps for both of the occupants. Contents: Anaconda(#7094) Typhoon strides in. Typhoon has arrived. Mortar has arrived. Mortar pokes his head in. Scales is up on the walkway above the ground, picking out rabbits from a hutch. You say "Come on in!" Mortar hrms, admiring the room, "Nice." He smiles up at Scales as he ducks inside, "Thanks." Typhoon ducks in the door, and steps out of the way. Alice wakes up at all the vibrations and hisses from her rock. Scales gets about three rabbits and holds them carefully in her paws as she glides back down to the floor. Scales circles down to the island with Alice. Alice slithers into the water for a bit. Mortar mostly pays attention to the snake. Roadrunner has arrived. Alice is a typical anaconda, except for a bright green mark on the top of her head that makes her distinctive. Roadrunner peeks in. Typhoon stands, watching Scales and her bunnies. Scales sets the nervous rabbits on the island, where they hop around a bit cautiously. Roadrunner says "Poor bunnies." Mortar. o O (I need a pet...) Mortar hrms, "Better not let Petro watch this...ever..." Roadrunner snuffles. "It's all part of the circle of life, right?" Mortar nods, patting Roadie's shuolder. Typhoon watches, grinning. Scales splashes to the shore and watches Alice. She nods. "Alice has ta eat, and this way she's not hungry for other stuff. Last time she got free she ate all the ham 'n' stuff in the fridge for human visitors." Roadrunner says "And the human visitors?" Alice swims in close, selecting a rabbit. She catches one and wraps it up for a good squeeze until it stops struggling. You say "I don't think they ever saw 'er." Roadrunner covers her eyes. Mortar winces slightly. Typhoon hms. "I wonder if they eat roadrunners..." Typhoon grins at Roady. Alice then begins to swallow the first rabbit, head first. Typhoon watches, fascinated. Scales considers it, keeping an eye on her snake. The other two rabbits huddle on the far side of the little island. Unfortunately, rabbits that are hutch-bred don't know how to swim, really. Alas, poor rabbit. I knew him, Scales. Alice works the rabbit through her expandable jaws and moves after the other two, a small bulge beginning to slide down her. Typhoon wows. "You can see th' rabbit rahght through 'er!" Typhoon says "I seen this stuff on somma Hurri's shows, but never in person!" Mortar's optics widen a bit, "Daaaaaaaaaaamn." Scales nods. "Not as much as if it were a really -big- animal, though. I think I read that anacondas can swallow sloth-sized animals." Typhoon looks to Mortar. "We gotta get Wheeljack ta build us a Snakebot!" Mortar chuckles, "That'd be cool." Typhoon grins. "Yeah!" Alice traps another rabbit and squeezes it.. Mortar thinks about something that happened earlier, "Hey, Ty...you know who Windsheer is?" Alice begins to work the second rabbit through her jaws. Typhoon looks over at Mort. "Who?" she answers. Mortar shrugs, "Someone Pipes mentioned...somethin' ta do with Dust Devil and someone else named Amalgam..." Typhoon frowns. "Not sure.. I know Amalgam's the guy who flipped out and tried ta kill Prahm and his daughter..." Mortar frowns. Alice corners the terrified third rabbit and easily catches it. After a several moments, a third bulge starts the long road down her digestive tract. Typhoon watches Alice. Typhoon says confidently, "Ah course, Dusty's the kid with th' problems..." Typhoon says "Ya know... hangs out with th' Junkions..." Roadrunner snuffles. Mortar hrms, "Point taken...but he said that Dust Devil was dead, and Windsheer'd taken over, er some'in' like that." Typhoon kinda babbles, her attention on the fascinatingly gruesome sight before her. Alice curls up on the warmest rock in the room to digest. Typhoon blinks, and looks at Mort. "Dusty dead? What?" Mortar looks down at Roadie, "Y'okay?" Mortar shrugs, "This happened aftah Dusty blew a whole through 'imself...but Pipes told me ta let 'im go." Roadrunner looks up at Mortar. "No?" Her optics are big and shiny. Mortar frowns and squeezes Roadie's shoulder encouragingly, "Don't worry 'bout it. It's all a part of life, right?" Scales clambers up to a spot on her shelf and curls up.
