This deck takes advantage of huge amounts of mana, provided by Llanowar elves and Rofellos. With a good hand, you can have a thorn elemental down on turn three! The elvish archers help hold back enemy hordes as you gain mana advantage. Hidden gibbons can really screw over a blue deck, as they come down early with one mana before your opponent has enough nama to counter. Defense of the heart is extremely useful against horde decks, as you can bring out multiple threats. Elvish pipers help clear out your hand of creatures for cheap. You can also use them to surprise your opponent by bringing out a blocker when he least expects it. Of course, might of oaks helps make the deck powerful. Combined with a lone wolf or thorn elemental, they translate into huge gobs of damage which your opponent cannot block.
4 Spreading Algae
4 Splinter
3 Tranquility
2 Lumbering Satyr
2 Spidersilk Armor
The sideboard is equipped to deal mainly with artifact and enchantment decks, as these seem to be very popular decks at the moment. The spreading algae deals extremely well against black. I always hear curses when my opponent loses a land, just to have the potent card return to my hand for another use. The lumbering satyrs give all your creatures forestwalk, making other green decks defenseless. Finally, the spidersilk armor can save you against any flying decks(which are usually blue) relying on creature lands(faerie conclave) or heavy cards like palinchron.
