Voln Symbol List

The Order of Voln is dedicated to the release of undead from their bondage. To help its members achieve this end, the Lords and Ladies of Liabo created special Symbols. The Symbols are taught to initiates sequentially as the initiate generates enough favor with the Lords and Ladies by slaying undead creatures. Favor may also be used to invoke one of the symbols already learned, but by doing so slows the initiate's progress up the Order. Many Symbols gain in effectiveness and duration as the member gains higher steps in the Order. Throw/Punch/Kick call on the member's Brawling skill, Reflexes, Dexterity, and I think Combat Maneuvers as well. Note: The Symbol of Recognition and the Throw/Punch/Kick symbols do not use favor Unless used on living creature

Symbol of Recognition This Symbol reveals members and Masters of the Order and undead creatures in the room.
Symbol of Blessing This Symbol duplicates the clerical spell Holy Weapon, 2 swings/level.
Symbol of Thought This Symbol allows you to broadcast a thought to all Voln members who also have this Symbol.
Symbol of Recovery This symbol works like Heal1 (801) and restores 10 lost HP.
Symbol of Courage This symbol increases AS by +1 per step in Voln, as well as provides a better warding of fear spells.
Symbol of Protection This symbol increases DS by 1 per step in Voln
Throw This ability lets the member Throw , Throwing them cost NO favor, and can damage them, put them in a lower stance, and often throws them to the ground with a stun. Throwing requires one hand free, works better with both free and has a 3 second RT that is not increced with weight or insufficent armor training.
Punch This ability lets the member Punch , Punching them cost NO favor and requires one hand be free. It has a 3 second RT, and can crit normally uncritable creatures, as well as stun them and do a fair ammount of damage, it works better with both hands free.
Kick This ability lets the member Kick . Kicking requires NO favor, and can be used with both hands full, having one hand free will improve it having both free greatly improves it. Kicking does more damage and crits than punch, but has a 4 second RT.
Symbol of Calming This symbol is a mass-effect version of the Major Spirit spell Calm (201), effective against undead.
Symbol of Sleep This is a version of the Wizard's Sleep spell (501) This Symbol does NOT WORK against undead. But it does work on Living creatures or adventurers.
Symbol of Turning This works like the Clerical Repel Undead spell (301)
Symbol of Mana This restores 50 mana points, but at the cost of favor and a deed.
Symbol of Sight This replicates Locate Person (116). It also allows ye to watch the room for a short time as well. Only works to other Voln members.
Symbol of Holiness This symbol allows the member to bless Magical Metals, The symbol also works to unleash a powerful firey attack against one undead creature.
Symbol of Submission This symbol causes undead to drop their guard, lowering DS by the caster's step.
Symbol of Restoration This symbol recovers Many lost HPs.
Symbol of Need This symbol lets others know where you are, even when dead.
Symbol of Retribution This symbol unleashes a powerful attack against undead in the room. This ability only works while you are Dead, and does not effect All undead.
Throw 2 This is an improved version of Throw (Symbol 7)
Punch 2 This is an improved version of Punch (Symbol 8)
Kick 2 This is an improved version of Kick (Symbol 9)
Symbol of Preservation This symbol casts Preservation ("LK") on yourself or others, 30 seconds per step.
Symbol of Dreams This symbol doubles spirit point, health, Mana. and mental recovery. When using this symbol you go into a full offensive stance and become prone, and you can Not be hidden while using this symbol as well.
Symbol of Return This symbol works like Spirit Guide (130), returning the user and their group to the locations listed below.
In the Landing it returns you to the Courtyard of the Voln Monastery
In Rivers Rest it returns you to the sanctuary.
On the Isle it takes you to the temple.
In Icemule it takes you to the Temple of the Gods
In Pinefar it takes you just west of the main door.
In Solhaven I don't know the location.
Symbol of Invitation This symbol enables a Master to invite people to join the Order. They must be at least 3 years of training to join.
