"Thanks, L'han!" Her tone is sincere, though not enthusiastic. Jaiya hops down into her mom's arms, "Thank-you! Thank-you! Thank-you!" she waves and waves. She wriggles down and trots up to Maireth's nose, "Thanks, Maireth!", wraggles her wooden dragon in his snout, and then waves dizzily as the dragon and Rider leave. Varina shakes her head, muttering, "MOre nerve than I had when I was thrice her age." Varina looked at you Varina walks into the building, towards the great hall. You stroll into the great hall. Damian meets Joseana's gaze cooly for a moment, sighs, and hands Fiona the hide. "Very well." Fiona takes the hide reluctantly. She glances over with relief as she sees Varina entering. Her arms are still crossed and tears are welling in her eyes. Damian stiffly turns and walks back to the rugs. In one fluid, angry motion, he lifts a rug and tosses it into the arms of an unsuspecting apprentice. He grabs one himself and strides from the room. Damian steps through the large doorway to the north and outside the Weavercrafthall. Varina surveys the room with a shake of her head. Those closest to her can hear her mutter wearily, "Tithes." She stoops down, gives Jaiya some hurried instructions, then crosses the room, her stride long, though weary. She gives Fiona a worried look but first asks the closest journeyrank. Joseana, "How's the loading coming? Jaiya nods at her mom and scampers off to play under the table, careful at first to stay out of th e way as she's been instructed. Joseana spares only the briefest glance toward the retreating Damian, muttering to herself, "Bend at the knees. What's so sharding hard about remembering to bend at the knees." Inclining her head slightly to the weaver craftsecond, she comments, "Slowly. Either the apprentices don't know how to load, can't manage to lift anything heavier than their eating utensils, or..." she glares sharply toward Fiona, "Are afraid of the dark and can't carry out their assignments." Fiona raises her chin aggresively, "I tried to explain to her that there are biting insects in the storeroom, but she just won't listen, Master Varina." She looks apologetically at the haried and tired appearing woman. Varina nods in acknowledgement of the report, looking over the remaining boxes and piles. "I had hoped to leave by now, if we want to get beyond the gates before dark." She looks at Fiona, then back at the journeywoman. "Now. What's the problem here?" Fiona opens her mouth to answer, then snaps it shut, giving the older woman the first say. Haldi strides in through the archway from the teaching wing. Haldi skitters out of the teaching wing and skids to a halt. She grins as she tries to catch her breath, "Sorry... didn't mean to be late..." Joseana hrmphs, "There are biting insects everywhere you go, apprentice. They live here. You just have to be careful." She adds, for Varina, "And if you let one apprentice out of a duty assignment, next thing you know they'll all have some excuse or another for getting out of their assignments." Fiona looks up from the floor with enormous relief as Haldi dashes in. She hurriedly wipes the tears from her eyes and smiles. There is still a determined set to her mouth, however. Damian heads in through the entrance leading out of the Hall. Damian reenters, looking a little dusty, and wiping his hands on his trousers. He walks over and looks over the master inventory, checking what else needs to go. Haldi bites her lip as she sees the tears in Fi's eyes. She glances up at Joseana and waits to find out what's going on. Damian peruses the inventory intently for a few minutes. Damian straightens up, walks over, grabs another rug, and walks back out. Damian steps through the large doorway to the north and outside the Weavercrafthall. Joseana looks over the recently arrived journeyman a moment, "You're the one with the penchant for outrageous colors." Fiona edges over to her, She mutters to Haldi, "Tissaren... bit... storage... Joseana... me... in... just..." She bites her lip. Varina listens carefully, then nods. "Aye, but this young lady is clearly frightened. I don't think assigning her a different duty is the same as letting her out of duty. Other apprentices aren't so frightened of crawly-things, I'm sure." She turns to Fiona. "And you. Haven't you been disciplined before about showing disrespect to journeyfolk?" Haldi flashes a grin as Joseana recognizes her, but then glances over at her friend as Fiona speaks, 'I can go into the storage..." Joseana nods shortly, not overly satisfied with the resolution, "As you say, Master Varina." She glares at the other apprentices grouped in small clusters around the hall, daring any of them to profess to a similar fright. Fiona's mouth drops open at Varina's comment, "Yes ma'am I have. And I'm trying not to show disrespect, but she just won't listen." She takes a deep breath and heads for the door mumbling, "I'll go... send for the healer now, but I'll go." Damian ambles in through the entrance leading out of the Hall. Haldi frowns, "Fiona, I can do it. I know how you don't like buggies and crawlie type things." Varina shakes her head. "No, Fiona. We can send some one else." Damian reenters, dusty and brushing a cobweb from one sleeve. He walks over, grabs the last rug, hands it to an idling apprentice and goes to check the inventory list again. Joseana eyes Damian suspiciously, "I don't recall the tithe wagons being that dusty, apprentice...." Fiona stops in the doorway, "I don't want to be accused of shirking duties. Perhaps Haldi could come help me? At least I wouldn't be alone, then." She takes a deep shuddering breath. Jaiya peers out from under her table and completely forgets her mom's instructions. She scampers out, nearly tripping more than one busy apprentice, and tugs at Haldi's shirt. "Where's Day-mon?" Damian studies the inventory list, but looks up at Joseana. "Sorry, we had a rug unroll. I had to shake the traildust out of it." Haldi casts a quick, and almost imperceptible glare at Joseana before turning quickly and grinning at Fiona, "Of course I'll go with you." Damian looks over the list. "That's the last of the rugs. What else needs to go?" Joseana mm hmms, unconvinced, "Well...Try to be more careful in the future." Damian says "Of course, Joseana." Varina turns back to Joseana, to comment one last time. "It probably would have saved us all a lot of time if you'd just sent some one else. She's clearly terrified. Being a good apprentice does not have to include being frightened out of your wits." Damian grabs a few bolts of cloth and carries them out, motioning for some of the other idlers to stop gawking and do the same. Damian heads through the large doorway to the north and outside the Weavercrafthall. Fiona smiles appreciatively at Haldi. She whispers, "Thank you." She heads out the door before hearing Varina's comment. Fiona moves through the large doorway to the north and outside the Weavercrafthall. Haldi heads through the large doorway to the north and outside the Weavercrafthall. Joseana grumbles, "Maybe so, Master Varina. But I have more important things to do with my time than try to remember which apprentice is scared of what. You can't always get out of doing things you don't like or are afraid of. Apprentices, like anyone else, had better realize that." Varina grumbles at Jaiya, shooing her out of the way again. "I don't expect you to keep track of their phobias, no. But perhaps a little compassionate response when they're distressed wouldn't be too unreasonable." She strides across the room to look at the Master Inventory, asking the journeyranker there, "Any chance we can finish this loading within the hour?" Joseana grumbles inaudibly to herself, managing a polite, "As you say, Master Varina." Joseana adds, unhelpfully, "The same sort of compassionate responses they've received from the other journeymen on loading? That's part of the reason matters are so behind. Most of these youngsters haven't a single sound idea in their heads on proper loading techniques. Three got themselves sent to the infirmary with strained backs from lifting wrong way I heard it." Varina sighs as she watches the crates leave the hall, "Aye, but our apprentices are more important than the tithe trains, really." Joseana hrmphs, "That's debateable. If they aren't up to the task, maybe they shouldn't be in the craft." Duvetyne heads in through the archway from the teaching wing. Varina turns to look at Joseana, "I disagree. I generally accept apprentices on their weaving potential, not their ability to load tithe trains. Of course, we do expect them to be able to pull their weight, but each within their own limits." Duvetyne smiles, "Hello everyone." Damian ambles in through the entrance leading out of the Hall. Damian enters, wiping his face on his shirt sleeve. Joseana acidly points out, "So far, their limits seem to be their stew bowls." Damian walks over and grabs a bolt of cloth. A small spinner crawls down his sleeve and onto his hand, but he surreptitiously flicks it off into the shadows. Duvetyne stands quietly, waiting for Master Varina to notice her. Damian picks up the bolt, grabs two more and walks towards the door. Haldi steps in through the entrance leading out of the Hall. Haldi dashes in and grabs the list of what is needed from the storerooms. With a cherry wave she dashes just as quickly back out. Haldi strides through the large doorway to the north and outside the Weavercrafthall. Damian carries the cloth outside, and returns in a moment. Varina actually laughs at that comment, tired as she is, then turns to greet Ty, "Hello. How's the loading going?" Joseana eyes Haldi's rapid entry and exit, "They just _now_ realized they didn't have the list?" Duvetyne nods, "Going well, just checking in to see if there is anything else to be done." Varina surveys the fortunately rapidly-diminishing pile. "I would like to be leaving within the hour, if that's possible. Are the carts ready to go?" Damian grabs the last of the bolts of cloth. "This is the last of the heavy stuff, Varina. I think there's just the stuff from the storerooms left." Damian carries the bolts outside. Damian ambles through the large doorway to the north and outside the Weavercrafthall. Varina gapes after teh apprentice, "They still haven't gotten the stuff from the storeroom?" Joseana displays a lack of surprise, "Considering that color-happy journeyman just came back to get the list, I doubt they've even begun." Wesley ambles in from the kitchen and storage area. Wesley waves as he enters. Joseana focuses on a few straggling apprentices loitering near the kitchen, "You there. What are you all standing about for? There's work to be done." Varina gets impatient and heads outside, calling over her shoulder, "Jaiya, c'mon.." She stops short. "Now where'd she go to?" Damian steps in through the entrance leading out of the Hall. Wesley glances about for an escape, and swears silently. "Okay." Johann stomps something angrily. "Shards," he says, "that's all I need. Bugs in the kitchen." He calls for some of the drudges to sweep the room for spinner webs. Damian says "All done, Varina." Jaiya giggles quietly. Joseana snaps, "That's Master Varina, apprentice." Damian says "Yes'm. All done, Master Varina." Varina hauls the girl out from under a table, "Come ON now, alright?" and storms out, having missed the oversight. Duvetyne heads through the large doorway to the north and outside the Weavercrafthall. You head through the large doorway to the north and outside the Weavercrafthall. Varina moves out of the Weavercrafthall through the double-doorway to the south. Haldi has her arms full of tons and tons of stuff. "Uh... where do I put this stuff?" Damian wanders out of the Weavercrafthall through the double-doorway to the south. Fiona helps Haldi place the last of the items from the storage building onto a cart. Varina strolls up the length of the train, "How long until we can get this thing moving?" Wesley wanders out of the Weavercrafthall through the double-doorway to the south. Joseana moves out of the Weavercrafthall through the double-doorway to the south. Joseana herds the straggling apprentices out of the hall, acidly commenting on their lack of speed or general competence at keeping up with the group. Fiona wipes her hands on rather amazingly dust free skirts and glances at Haldi for confimation. "I think this is the last from the storage building." Damian looks up at the sky, and spots the firelizard sitting in a tree nearby. "That flit has been here for almost two weeks. I wonder who's it is. Haldi smiles as Oryn takes off to find a better audience. Oryn flies off to investigate the little gold. Varina whistles loudly to get everybody's attention, beckoning them to gather around. Jaiya scampers in and out of the big peoples' legs, getting thoroughly in the way. From Haldi's shoulder, Glissa shifts and warbles in an uncharcteristicly irritated way. Joseana glares at the 'scamperer', "Do you mind?" Fiona steps forward in the crowd gathering around Varina. Wesley tries his best to stay in the bloody background, aka, out of the vision of the masters. Varina takes a deep breath, giving a quick pep talk. "We're going to be on the road together for the next few days, so I expect you to try to get along, okay?" She gives an extra-hard glare to a few certain folks. "AND, when we get to the Weyr, I expect you -all- to be on your best behaviour. We will be-guests- there, and not only that, but we are -beholden- to them. Disrespect and misbehaviour will reflect poorly against our craft, and will be disciplined appropriately." She looks around at the folks meaningfully. Wesley raises a hand. "Um, Master Varina..." Haldi bounces excitedly and nods as she listens to Master Varina. Fiona bites her lip and silently makes a vow of silence for the next few days. Varina eyes Wesley carefully. "Yes, apprentice?" Wesley blinks. "Um...on second thought, I'll wait on that question." Joseana glares, "Speak up apprentice." Wesley shakes his head. "No ma'am, I've, uh, forgotten." So saying, he sorta slinks off to a pot out of the direclt lin of site of all the masters. Wesley * Spot. Haldi shrugs and bounces a bit more as she lets her excitement get the better of her. Joseana hrmphs, mumbling about sharding apprentices not being able to remember anything except _maybe_ their names....if that much. A group of apprentices stirs restlessly at the delay. One darts off toward the hall quickly, apparently answering a call of nature before the trip. Varina follows the apprentice with her eyes. "It's not too late to reconsider the duty roster of who gets to go." She states this as a flat, plain warning. Varina looks around onece more, "Now let's get this train moving, alright? We want to miss the winter storms." The aprentice darts back out of the building, fastening his trous and looking about with an innocent look on his face. He fades into a crowd to avoid higher ranking eyes. Varina follows the road north. You follow the road northwards, the lush rainforest gradually giving way to grassy hills, and finally, the more populated, cultivated fields of the Fort Region. The air becomes much cooler and somewhat drier during your journey of 4 or 5 days. Wesley comes along from the road to the south. You head into the mountains to the southwest, travelling for a day and a half until you reach Fort Weyr. Fiona comes along the mountain pass. Wesley takes great care to keep /away/ for Joseana for the duraction of the trip. Joseana curbs her temper only slightly at being asked for the toomanyeth time 'How much farther'. Wesley nudges Fi, and suggests a rousing corous of 'are we there yet'. Varina comes along the mountain pass. Fiona glares at Wes and manages to stay out of trouble for the entire trip. Vivian emerges out of the tunnel from the Weyr. Vivian smiles warmly as she walks towards the train. She waves and calls out, "Master Varina!" Vivian eyes the wagons that bear the symbol of the Weavercrafthall. Varina looks over her shoulder, glaring at two quibbling apprentices, tnen urges the front wagon to get a move on. She stops when she hears her name, turning quickly. "Weyrwoman! Weaver's duty to Fort." Joseana notes the arrival of an important weyr personage and glares pointedly at a group of murmuring apprentices. Fiona moves away from the others and leans tiredly against a wagon. She wipes trail dust off of her face, trying to make herself presentable. Vivian chuckles and waves again. "Varina, we had heard that there was a tithe train heading our way from your Hall. I had no idea that you would personally be a part of it though. Welcome to Fort Weyr. Fort's duty to the Weavercraft. Haldi puts a hand on Fiona's shoulder as she smiles tiredly too. Wesley sits down with a sigh against one of the wagons, and runs a hand through his hair. Varina quips at a grumbling apprentice, "It's quite obvious that we're here, isn't it?" Then straightens back up businesslike, trying to push her travel-weary irritation aside. She chuckles slightly, "This might be the last time I bring it personally," glancing over her shoulder at the bedraggled mess of weavers behind her. "Shall we move the wagons on in?" Vivian walks up beside the lead wagon. "Probably the best spot to pull up into is in the bowl." A very young apprentice dashes lightly around the groups of tired weavers, drawing looks of disgust from several older journeyrankers. Varina gives the signal, and the colourful train slowly begins to move, one wagon at a time. Varina heads down the tunnel towards the bowl. Damian comes along the mountain pass. Wesley heads down the tunnel towards the bowl. Vivian waves at a group of youngsters. "Go tell Meira that the Weavers are here!" They quickly scamper off to find the Headwoman. You head down the tunnel towards the bowl. Vivian emerges from the tunnel into the mountain. Several small groups of people emerge from the mouth of the living cavern ready to help unload the wagons. Joseana emerges from the tunnel into the mountain. Haldi shakes out her hair and summons a grin as she wraps it up into a runner tail, "Do we unload now too?" Joseana catches a teetering crate before it falls from its place. Resettling it more securely, she glares at a nearby apprentice, "I thought you said you knew how to tie a proper knot." Wesley leans against one of the wagons again, looking a touch too tired to unload anything.. Varina catches up with Joseana, pulling her aside to mutter to her quietly where the apprentices can't hear her. She mutters to Joseana, "... your... to... you... dragon stew." High above the bowl, Ileara swings up easily to Shalith's neck, patting her affectionately. High above the bowl, Shalith spirals lower into the northeastern sky. Above the northeastern area, Shalith backwings to a neat landing on her ledge. Haldi's eyes travel upward as a dragon flies overhead. She grins brightly. Fiona just follows the person in front of her, too numb to think. When the rest stop, she bumps into him, muttering, "Sorry." Jaiya catches the faint feeling of festivity that accompanies having arrived, and starts zipping around energetically, singing loudly as she dashes between the wagons and in and out of people's legs. Damian looked at you Damian mutters to Fiona, "Are you okay?" Wesley considers falling asleep where he sits, but decides he's too tired. Fiona smiles, She mutters to Damian, "... be once... can... real... for..." Haldi bounces slightly, if a bit tiredly, "I love visiting weyrs." Wesley grins wearily at Haldi, wondering if she /ever/ stops moving. Vivian walks over to Varina. "You all must be exhausted. Please, come in and rest for a bit while our people start the unloading. We've got some cold juice, and I'm sure Ebisu will have something tasty to eat." Joseana hrmphs, glancing around at the less than motivated apprentices, muttering to herself lowly. Haldi grins as she gets her fourth or fifth wind, "I've met Ebisu before. He makes really good klah." Wesley rolls his eyes at Joseana, and pulls himself to his feet at the promise of cold juise. Fiona heads over toward Haldi, "Klah? Hot klah? Just what I need." She begins to look more like herself. Haldi smiles and bounces a little more, "It's really sweet and rich. He puts something in it that makes it taste really good. Not like normal klah." Vivian looks over ath Haldi and grins. "Aye, his klah is the finest on Pern." She chuckles. "At least, that's what he'll tell you." Haldi glances at the Weyrwoman and giggles. Joseana glares briefly at Wesley, "Don't think I didn't see that apprentice." Varina turns to Vivian. "Let me get you the inventory for your headwoman. Don't you want us to unload before moving on?" She asks this, though looking awfully tempted at the offer. Wesley rubs a hand over his eyes. "Right about now, I'm sure it will be." He waits until he's absoutly totally and /positively/ sure that Joseana isn't looking and stick shis tongue out at aher just long enough to make his point before moveing far away, and quickly. Toward the rear of the caravan, an apprentice stifles a shriek as a dragon flies by overhead. Joseana curbs her temper long enough to stalk toward the rear and have a word with the spooked apprentice, mumbling, 'Compassionate understanding. Hah!" Damian looks back, looks up, yawns, and watches the dragons. Vivian looks around at the tired apprentices. "I think some food and klah will have a big impact on how soon these wagons get unloaded." She grins and moves closer. "Bring your inventory with you, Varina. We'll grab Meira and look it over quickly before we start unloading. She'll have a better idea of where to put everything if she gets to look at what it is we're receiving first." Renna walks across the bowl from the Lower Caverns. High above the bowl, F'ren steps up on Zyanth's proferred foreleg and using the straps, hoists himself to a place on the bronze neck. High above the bowl, Zyanth spirals down lower into the bowl. Above the center of the bowl, F'ren lowers himself from Zyanth's neck, using the straps to ease down and stand on the dragon's foreleg. From there he hops to the ground. Rhyana walks across the bowl from the Lower Caverns. Rhyana looks around. "Anything I can do to help? Varina smiles in relief, "Thank you. Everybody will appreciate it, I'm sure." She grabs the stack of hides from the main wagon, and speaks to a few journeyranks, giving them the instructions to pass on to apprentices, to come and relax a few minutes before unloading. Vague comments from the rear of the caravan can occasionally be heard. "....sharding nuisance....dragon....addle-brained nitwit..." Haldi grabs Fiona with one hand and Damian with the other as she drags them toward teh living cavern, "C'mon wake up, we get to sit down now." Renna smiles as she walks up to the tithing train. "Looks like we're here just in time, Rhyana." Rhyana nods at Renna. "Yep.... " Damian yawns again, his jaw popping slightly, and follows Haldi. Wesley trails after Haldi, the promise of some klah waking him a little. Above the center of the bowl, F'ren steps up on Zyanth's proferred foreleg and using the straps, hoists himself to a place on the bronze neck. Fiona smiles at Damian behind Haldi's back, alowing herself to be dragged toward the promise dklah. Haldi walks across the bowl and enters the lower caverns. Apprentices scatter out of Josea's way as she stalks the offender. Damian walks across the bowl and enters the lower caverns. Wesley quickly follows Haldi. Wesley walks across the bowl and enters the lower caverns. Varina looks around frantically, then finally spots her daughter and grabs her by the hand before she can get lost. Jaiya yeeps! and gets dragged off my her momma, her lil singing fading out. Vivian waves as she spies Rhyana and Renna. "Could you two help make sure these folks get something to drink and eat? I'm going to try and get the weyrlings to help unload." Vivian looks around the chaotic bowl. "Has anyone seen Meira about?" Renna nods and smiles at Rhyana. "We should've stayed where we were." Renna walks back towards the LC, gesturing to some of the train folk to follow her. Renna walks across the bowl and enters the lower caverns. Rhyana nods at Vivian. "Certainly!" She follows Renna back Rhyana walks across the bowl and enters the lower caverns. Joseana points the offending apprentice in the direction taken by the other apprentices. "You're falling behind again." Varina nods to Vivian. "Thanks so much." and turns to the two the Weyrwoman indicated, following them quickly. Varina walks across the bowl and enters the lower caverns. Vivian heads off across the bowl to the northwest towards the Weyrling Barracks. You walk across the bowl and enter the lower caverns. Wesley snags a mug of klah, and sits down in a chair in the corner....and after a moment or two, he nods off. Rhyana disappears into the kitchen. Rhyana mounts the steps that lead to the kitchen. In the kitchen, Rhyana rummages for bread and cheese, and fruit Rhyana comes down the marble steps from the kitchen. Joseana points the apprentice toward the firelizard perch, "See there. Those are firelizards. Try not to go to pieces when you see more of them." Rhyana returns bearing a large tray, filled with bread and cheese and fruit and klah. She walks over towards the weavers. "Would anyone like anything else?" One apprentice nearly breaks into tears at Joseana's glare, while another rolls his eyes and tries very hard not to stick out his tongue at her. Varina gives a few selected folks very stern glares, cautioning them to behave. Renna hrms to herself and goes to find more food. Renna mounts the steps that lead to the kitchen. Haldi plops into a chair and grins up at anyone nearby. Varina smiles gratefully to the woman offering food. "This is much appreciated. They've all been moaning about travelling stew." Damian grabs a mug of klah and a piece of bread and some cheese. Rhyana smiles at the weaver. "Oh... I'm Rhyana, by the way... I'm a mender here at Fort." Renna comes down the marble steps from the kitchen. Fiona looks happily at the loaded tray, "That looks like plenty! Thanks." She grins at Varina's comment, "It tends to get old after several days, Master." Damian says "Thankee, ma'am." Renna comes out of the kitchen with another tray loaded with fresh meatrolls, bread, and cheese. Haldi ooohs and reaches out hand to snag a meatroll and some cheese. She flashes a grin at Renna. Renna smiles at Haldi and sets the laden tray on the serving table for everyone. Fiona follows the other's lead and grabs the first thing her hand lands on. She nods her thanks at Renna while munching on a piece of fruit. Damian sips at the klah. "Mmmm, klah...." Ebisu comes up the steps from the Inner Caverns. Renna turns around after setting the tray down. She addresses the Weavers. "So, how was the trip up here?" Ebisu wanders out, nearly tripping over firelizards and pet cats that chase him, knowing he always feeds them. Rhyana waves at Ebisu and the headwoman. "Good! Ebisu, can you finds some more suitable food?" Ebisu waves to Haldi. Meira comes in, cheeks rosy and face flushed in her rush to get into the Living Cavern to greet the Weavers. She fans herself, "Oh, my..... Welcome! Welcome to Fort Weyr." Ebisu waves to Fiona, too, recognizing her. Jaiya scampers up to Rhyana, grinning at her with a big broad-smiled "Hi!" and grabs herself a huge handlful off of her tray. Haldi grins up at Ebisu, "Hi! I was telling everyone about your really good klah." Renna sees Meira. "Oh, good, Meira. You're here." Rhyana looked at you Fiona waves her free hand while snagging a chunk of cheese from the tray in front of her. Renna sends Trillin after Ebisu to tease him. Renna gives Trillin a silent command and the gold launches herself off of Renna's shoulder. Meira winks at Renna, "Yes, I'm here... late, but here!" She laughs merrily, her eyes sparkling. Trillin flits around Ebisu's head, swooping and diving. Ebisu borks, erm, barks orders at the kitchen and living cavern staff. Renna unwraps Mynned's tail from around her neck and sends him to the nearest perch. Mynned is no longer listening. Joseana tactfully, for her, chooses a spot in the cavern where she can easily monitor the apprentices. Ebisu hands Trillin a piece of meatroll. Damian chews on the cheese and bread, watching all the people around him. Ebisu says "Hello folks! How are you? ANyone hungry?" Varina catches the headwoman's eye, waving her inventory hides at her and calling congenially, "Weaver's duty to Fort." Trillin grabs the meatroll piece and flies back to Renna, satisfied. Wesley climbs up onto his cot. Renna holds out her arm and beckons to Trillin, who lands lightly on her outstretched arm. Haldi mumbles with her mouth full, "Yes, but Renna brought us out some food!" Ebisu hrms and wanders over to his big cutting board near the hearth "Well, let's throw together some snacks, here. Meira ohs! and hurries over to Varina, "Wonderful to have you here! Welcome, welcome!" She puts her hands on her hips and smiles, 'I'm Meira, Headwoman of Fort. Just tell me if you need anything at all." Haldi stuffs some more cheese into her mouth before standing and wandering over to EEbisu, "Whatcha doing?" Fiona snags a second piece of fruit and follows Haldi. Ebisu blinks at Haldi "Oh, I'm trying to decide what to make for today's lunch special. Joseana glances toward Haldi, quietly but firmly reminding her of etiquette and not-talking-with-your-mouth-full. Damian finishes the cheese and bread, and grabs a piece of fruit. Ebisu says "How about spicy chicken wings, and maybe a light salad..." Rhyana smiles at all the weavers, and then perches on one of the benches. Varina smiles, watching the energetic cook out of the corner of her eye, "Thank you. I"m Master Varina, Weaver CraftSecond. Fort has been most hospitable already." She looks around with a grin, "I'm wondering if it was wise to bring so many apprentices along." Fiona mutters to Haldi, "... how much... and... is... why?"" Haldi doesn't catch Joseana's glance as she stuffs another bit of meatroll into her mouth and speaks, "That sounds really yummy." Haldi giggles and whispersback at Fiona. Renna smiles and sits back with Rhyana, watching the chaos in the LC. Renna extends her arm as Mynned flies to her. Ebisu gives an order, and a kitchen assitant brings out a tray of small chicken drummettes, and places them on the table as an appetizer for the Weavers. Damian rolls the fruit across his hand, rolls it onto the back of his wrist, almost loses it, but pops it off his wrist and into his his other hand. A triumphant grin on his face, he takes a bite out of it and begins chewing. Another kitchen assistant brings in little bowls of blue-cheese-like dipping sauce for the wings, as well as chopped celery and carrot-tuber sticks. Fiona nods at Haldi, "There is that, isn't there?" She glances at Damian, "Very tricky." Meira waves her hand towards Varina and smiles, "Of course it's alright! Plenty of room and plenty of food!" She laughs, "Faranth knows with the size of our weyr we've enough for all!" Joseana glances briefly in the direction of the craftsecond before stalking across the cavern to where Haldi currently is. "Didn't your mother ever teach you it isn't polite to talk with your mouth full." Haldi giggles at Damian and bounces over, "Do that again, it was neat." Varina chuckles, watching the cook as the living cavern takes on a bit of a festive air. She starts to flip through the inventory sheets, then shrugs. "Perhaps I'll go over these with you after we've all eaten." Haldi turns and glances at Joseana, "Yeah." She seems to be missing the point entirely. Fiona glances at Haldi, "You know I just realized that you are only 15 and a journyranker. That's impressive. Especialy since your birthday was only a little while ago." Damian examines his food. "Hmm...a little lopsided for that trick again." He takes another bite. "P'raps later, with something else." Haldi blinks and turns to glance at Fiona, "Oh my gosh! I forgot all about my turnday."
