You walk into the Great Hall. Opa comes in with a few message skins tucked under one arm. Lenore looks up from the table and smiles. "Hello Opa." Opa smiles as she catches sight of Lenore and joins her at the table. "Hello, Lenore...how are you feeling this evening?" Lenore frowns. "oh, not very well. In fact I've been meaning to talk to you." Opa's brow furrows into a worried frown, and she looks at Lenore with some concern. "Oh?" Lenore nods. "there is a reason I called you back to the Hall, you know." Opa looks down at the hides tucked under her arm. "Well...yes...I've been doing a lot of administrative work in the past few sevendays...I was hoping that would give you some more time to rest." Lenore sighs softly. "Well, I need a long rest, Opa, a long rest, so I've decided to give you a lot more responsibility." Opa puts the skins on the table, setting them aside for a moment. She reaches over to cover one of Lenore's hands with her own. "Master Lenore..." Her eyes, still concerned, look at the Master questioningly. Lenore smiles faintly. "I've decided to appoint you CraftMaster and retire." Opa stares a moment. Opa blinks, and seems quietly overwhelmed. "Are you...quite sure?" Lenore nods. "Oh yes, dear, I've quite made up my mind. I'm getting on and things aren't what they used to be." Lenore squeezes your hand gently. "It's time for younger blood to take over." Opa sits back, absorbing. "Well." She repeats the word a few times, then looks back at Lenore. "You will promise to get *better* if you take such a long rest, won't you?" She squeezes back, equally gently. Lenore sighs. "well, I will try. Wretched healers always bother me with this remedy or that, but I hope so." Opa smiles despite herself. "Well, I've found to my dismay that they do know what they're doing, most of the time." She takes a deep breath, her glance sliding over towards the message skins with a wry grin. "I suppose this means more of that, doesn't it." Lenore harumphs. "I don't know about healers, but yes, more hides, more admin works, dealing with naughty apprentices. I've been too tired to deal with Masao, so I'm afraid I must leave that to you." Opa's eyes glitter with the hardness that is customary at the mention of Masao's name. She nods. "I understand." Lenore pats Opa's hand. "I'm sure you'll do a good job, dear." Opa smiles at the older woman. "I'll be doing my best, Master - to try and match your standard." Lenore nods. "Of course. I have every confidence in you." Opa lets out a deep breath, repeating, "I'll do my best." Lenore nods again. "I know." Lenore slowly takes off her knot and pins it on your shoulder. Opa turns her head, twisting her arm a bit to regard the new knot, then looks briefly around the large chamber to regard some of her new responsibility. Lenore smiles at Opa. "Good luck." Opa chuckles. "Thanks." She seems to be adjusting somewhat to the idea. Lenore slowly releases her hand and pats you lightly on the shoulder. "Well, I'll leave you to adjust. I'll be in my room if you need me." Opa covers Lenore's hand with her own briefly before nodding. "Have a restful evening, Master." Lenore smiles. "And you too, MasterWeaver." Lenore walks through the doorway towards the teaching rooms and the rest of the west wing. Lenore has left. Opa blinks in reaction to the first addressing of her by such a title, but grins after a few moments, murmuring it quietly to herself.
