Opa bites her lip and looks curious, but says nothing.

Zelez turns her attention to Cleona, her look softly anticipatios

Cleona says "I have two children now, and a weyrmate who has a huge amount of
responsibility. And I feel the need to be there for them more than I have
been."

K'len lowers his eyes slightly for a moment.

Cleona grins a bit. "And I think it's also time that someone else had a chance
to make a big difference to the Craft."

Lenore nods quietly.

Cleona says "My home's at Fort now, and has been for a long time, so I'm
asking Lenore to accept my resignation as CraftSecond."

Lenore clears her throat. "I know this has been a hard decision for you. I
accept your resignation. But I do want you to know that you're still part of
our Weaverweb. We still need you. You are invaluable to us."

Lenore gives Cleona a warm hug.

Opa bites her lip again and sighs.

Zelez bows her head slightly, and smiles at Cleona faintly. "This sounds like
a good excuse to visit Fort"

Cleona smiles and hugs Lenore tightly, not quit crying, but close.

K'len smiles at Lenore. "I wouldn't worry terribly. It's hard to keep her from
the craft... "

Cleona looks over at Zelez and chuckles, "Yes..be sure you use it."

Opa smiles at Zelez's comment, and nods.

Lenore strokes Cleona's hair and murmurs something to her.

Cleona murmurs laughingly at K'len's comment, and hiccups as she hugs Lenore
again.

Zelez smiles, "I'll be sure to."

Lenore smiles. "Cleona will still be a Master, so she's not rid of us yet."

Cleona nods and wipes a tiny bit of moisture from the corner of her eye and
then smiles brightly.
Cleona carefully unpins the CS knot.

Lenore holds out a Master's knot to Cleona.

Cleona smiles and proudly pins it on. "Thank you."

Lenore smiles. "No, thank /you/."
Lenore takes the CS knot from Cleona and looks at Zelez and Opa.

Cleona chuckles softly, and hugs Zelez and Opa before returning to sit with
K'len.

Opa looks at Zelez, then looks at Lenore.

Zelez hugs Cleona before noticing she's being looked at and looks back at
Lenore and Opa.

Cleona nestles close to K'len, lacing her fingers through his as she leans her
head on his shoulder.

Lenore smiles. "I need a new CraftSecond to stand beside me and help guide the
Weavers through all the changes and upheavals."
Lenore pins the CS knot on Opa. "Congratulations and commiserations!"

Zelez smiles gladly at Opa. "Congratulations"

Cleona chuckles and nods. "Congratulations."

Opa pales, then blushes, then pales again. "Really?"

Zelez grins

Lenore nods. "You've come a long way from the brash apprentice I first knew. I
think you'll be a dynamic moving force. I know sometimes I can be somewhat
hidebound."

K'len smiles and begins to applaud the new Craftsecond.

Opa laughs delightedly and gives everyone in the room an impulsive hug. "Thank
you!"

Zelez hugs Opa with a smile.

Lenore chuckles and hugs Opa back.

Cleona turns to look at her weyrmate and smiles radiantly.

Opa <-- obviously taken with the joy of the moment and not realising 
what kind of work this'll mean. ;)

Cleona says "Think we'll be able to pry the babies lose from the nursery
staff, love?"

Zelez chuckles.

K'len nods, smiling at Cleona. "I think so..."

Cleona looks so pleased, and proud.

Opa calms down and sits once again, looking at Lenore. "I'll do my best to try
and fill Cleona's shoes, but it will not be easy." She smiles at Cleona.

Cleona says "Oh..you'll need bigger shoes, I'm sure, Opa. I expect a lot from
you."

You sense K'len just looked at you.

Lenore chuckles.

Cleona winks slowly and smiles.

Zelez smiles, "You'll do well, Opa" she says confidently

K'len looks at Cleona, then looks at Opa. He smiles.

Opa blushes and just grins stupidly.

K'len chuckles reminiscently and looks at Cleona. "Did I look that flushed
when Cinne made me Weyrleader, love?"

Cleona chuckles softly and nods, "Only...more stunned, I think."

Lenore chuckles.

Zelez smiles.

K'len smiles at Opa.

Opa keeps on smiling. :)

Lenore laughs. "Obviously the full horror of the situation hasn't sunk in yet."

Zelez smothers her grin.

Cleona chuckles, "I think you're right, Lenore."

Opa . o O ( Oh, let me just enjoy the moment, huh? ;)

Lenore hugs Opa.

Opa hugs back, her eyes now betrayingly moist.

K'len smiles."Having been around weavers for a while, Opa, the only advice I
have for you is to make sure you occasionally relax."
K'len says "If you don't, you'll fall for the first man you meet who can give
a good massage. :)"

Cleona looks up at her love's face and smiles, "Or...you find someone who will
teach you how."

Zelez nods,"It's hard enough to remember, even when you don't have so much to
do"

Opa blinks. Relaxation? Huh?

Cleona laughs. "Wasn't I lucky?"

K'len nods to Opa, and reserves comment on Cleona's statement.

Varina walks in from the hallway, letting the door close behind her.
Varina has arrived.

Zelez grins, "Varina!"

Cleona smiles warmly, "Hello, Varina!"

Lenore blinks. "What's relaxation?"

Opa waves!

Varina smiles broadly, "Hello everybody."

K'len winks at Lenore. "Remind me to show you sometime." He squeezes Cleona's
hand teasingly.

Cleona mmms laughingly, "It's wonderful is what it is."
Cleona says "I seem to work even better when I take some time off to 'relax'
now and then."

Lenore chuckles. "I'm too old for that sort of fun, K'len."

K'len sighs in mock disapointment. "Well, don't say I didn't try."

Zelez chuckles

K'len grins and squeezes Cleona's hand. "I have to get going. When should I
come back for you?

Lenore laughs. "He's a rider alright, Cleona. I'd keep an eye on him."

Opa chuckles. "This is why my mother didn't want me to be posted at a Weyr."

Lenore smiles. "Varina, you just missed all the excitement. Opa is our new
CraftSecond."

Varina ohs! "Congratulations, Opa!"

Opa grins. "Thanks!" She beams glowingly.

K'len hmphs in indignation, smiling at Opa. "Don't knock it if you haven't
tried it. :)"

Cleona laughs, "I do..keep my eyes on him all the time, he's just so..nice to
look at."

Varina grins

Lenore laughs. "I see."

Cleona mms, "I'll come with you, love."

Opa refrains from knocking it, then. :)

K'len says "Okay..."

Zelez chuckles again, and rubs at one eye.

K'len waves to the assemblage. "Thank you for your hospitality, and
congratulations again, Opa.

Cleona hugs Varina and then everyone else, with a big hug for Opa. "Enjoy."

Opa waves and grins her thanks at K'len.
Opa hugs tightly back.

Varina waves, "Good to see you, even briefly."

Zelez hugs Cleona, smiles at K'len, "Have a good trip back. It was good to see
you"

Cleona opens the door and walks out to the hallway. The door closes behind her
with a soft click.
