A note about this tapestry

This was covertly commissioned of me by one who shall remain nameless, as part of a secret plot, the details of which I was sworn to secrecy about. It was delivered to Weyrwoman Deyaan at Ista Weyr in a mysterious manner, with no clue of who it was from aside from the subject matter of the tapestry itself...

Description

Before you is a full-sized curtain tapestry, lush with brilliant colours of all tints and hues. The scene is one of a garden in full summer, the walls of what could only be the crater of a Weyr's bowl rising upwards in the background. Flowers and herbs lie sprawled in neatly-cultivated patches all over, parting only to make way for a small path twisting through the sea of blossoms. It leads to a small clearing which contains a swing and six-sided cistern. Each side contains a different carving, although from the angle of this scene, only three are visible. Only a master's skill could have woven the ripples along the hide of the landing dragon, the craggy shapes of star stones, and the eggs hardening in a hatching cavern which lie along the three sides of the cistern. Not far away is the swing, a two-seater with encroaching vines twisting up along its sides. It hangs peacefully, surrounded by a circle of fellis blossoms, their five-petalled flowers woven in just exactly the right tint of yellow which so distinctively identifies the well-known herb.
