Kendael is clad in an apple green shift dress made of a fine wool fabric. Its gentle round neckline frames her slim throat. The fabric clings to her tall, slender frame, flowing out into a wide skirt falling to her ankles. The tight sleeves come to a point just below the first joint of her fingers. Over the shift is a black wide-mesh net overlay of braided cotton threads. The sleeves are loose and short, and the neckline is slightly lower than that of the dress underneath. It falls to about knee level and is loose where the shift is tight, creating a unique yet attractive effect.
