Asfala's delicate beauty is understatedly enhanced by the gown draping her finely-boned figure. The fabric is a dark jade green, rich enough to be striking, but not enough to overpower her complexion. The colour, so deep as to make you marvel at the skill which dyed it, harmonizes with her skin and eyes, and is a stunning contrast to the red-brown of her thick hair. The neckline of the gown cuts wide across her collarbone from one shoulder to the other. The loose bodice is caught up at her slim waist by a wide sash of exquisite gold brocade. A slightly thinner strip of the same brocade trim edges the neckline, the wide flaring sleeves, and the hem of the rippling, full-length skirt.
