Black/Red Cloak

Date: April 17, 1996
Rank: Journeyrank

This high-collared, floor-length cloak is well-suited to the bitter cold Benden winters. Its woven blend of llama and sheep wools have been left somewhat coarse, lending texture to the garment's fairly simple weave. The softness of the llama wool serves to mute the cromcoal black weave and burgundy red undertones. The cloak fastens down the front by three black toggles. The inside of the cloak is lined with black linen. Arm-slits can be closed off by buttoned flaps from the inside during colder weather or left open to allow for greater mobility. Burgundy cording trims the cloak's edges and arm-slits.

T'ren's top is made of soft brushed wool vertically striped in crisp white, deep black and ruby red edged with thin black ribbon. The top is cut straight across T'ren's neckline, fastened by black ties at the shoulders, elbows and at the drawstring wrists. Poking between these ties are undersleeves of pure white; the band collar of this shirt also peeks out from under his colorful overshirt, covering T'ren's neck.

To ensure T'ren stays warm during the chilly Benden winters, a matching black woolen jacket is provided. This is decorated with embroidery of small interlocking anchors and ropes which run along the edges of the jacket; it is lined with fine grey linen. Its bell sleeves can folded up and buttoned at the shoulders, displaying the lining, or let hang a few inches from the shirt sleeves. It is v-necked and buttons at the hips with four shiny brass buttons. The jacket falls just above Tren's jet black, close-fitting trousers which tuck neatly into a pair of knee-high black wherhide boots.

Summer Outfit

Date: April 18, 1996
Rank: Journeyrank

T'ren looks rakishly handsome in his summer outfit made of finely woven cotton dyed cloudy blue-grey. His sleeveless top is close-fitting, but not binding, and buttons down the left-side. Embroidery reminiscent of swirling ocean waves runs along its crisp white band collar. At his waist is an eelskin belt adorned with a brass buckle in the form of swimming shipfish. Soft slate grey pleated breeches just brush the top of his leather shoes of a style commonly seen on the decks of Tillek ships.

Autumn Outfit

Date: April 18, 1996
Rank: Journeyrank

T'ren is sporting a heavy cotton shirt woven in a madras of muted garnet red, black, white and silvery grey highlights. It has a straight collar over a slit-and-lace neckline. Over this, he wears a loose-fitting linen-lined light grey wool vest which falls just below his waistline. Buttons matching those at his cuffs fasten this down the front. It is coordinated with onyx black linsey-woolsey trousers which tuck into high black leather boots.

Spring Outfit

Date: April 18, 1996
Rank: Journeyrank

T'ren's poet-style shirt is made of a soft, finely woven creamy white cotton broadcloth; both the torso and sleeves are loose-fitting with soft ruffles at the collar and gathered wrists. The collar is open against T'ren's chest to reveal his well-tanned skin but can also be drawn shut with cording. He wears a sash of ruby red which is folded over itself around his waist falling to mid-thigh. His well-fitting breeches are a deep black linsey-woolsey and drape well over his legs. They slip easily into a pair of high black wherhide boots. If you didn't know him better, you might take him for a pirate.
