Maternity Flying Leather Jacket

Date: July 22, 1996
Rank: Journeyrank

Maarie wears a flying jacket well known to Benden parents; not as insulated as normal flying jackets, as traveling /between/ is forbidden until after pregnancy, this jacket has a soft sheen from turns of use at the weyr. The thick tawny brown jacket is cut wide to accommodate the increasing girth of pregnancy and is lined with soft creamy fur. Its collar is high to protect her neck and adjustable velcro-like strips fasten the left side of the jacket. Included in the outfit is a widely adjustable leather belt with metal roundels with which Maarie can clip herself securely into Zuseth's straps. She wears a pair of dark brown loose-fitting wool trousers to insulate her in flight; these tuck neatly into a pair of well-lined brown wherhide ankle boots.

Maternity Overtunic, Apricot

Date: July 22, 1996
Rank: Journeyrank

Maarie is wearing an sleeveless apricot linen maternity overtunic which falls to her knees over a long-sleeved soft nutbrown shift dress. The tunic is laced down the front from its rounded neckline to just below her bustline, and then falls freely around her growing belly. The tunic's colors complement the rich hues of Maarie's hair and skin giving her a healthy glow. Thin bands in a plaid of buttery yellow, light apricot, sky blue and warm brown trim the neckline, edges, and hem of this tunic. A small tag at the back marks this as Weavercrafted by Julaina, with thanks to Opa.

Maternity Overtunic, Pale Blue

Date: July 22, 1996
Rank: Journeyrank

Maarie is wearing an simple pale blue woolen maternity overtunic which falls to her knees over a pair of cream drawstring breeches. The tunic is fastened down the front by creamy round shell buttons from its squared neckline to just below her bustline, and then falls freely around her growing belly. The contrast of the outfit's pale colors and the rich hues of Maarie's hair and skin gives her a look of maternal radiance. Thin cream sisal cording interwoven with tiny seed pearls and golden metallic thread trims the neckline, edges, and hem of this tunic. A small tag at the back marks this as Weavercrafted by Julaina, with thanks to Opa.
