Everyday Outfit for Brinalla

Date: April 23, 1996
Rank: Journeyrank

Brinalla is wearing a fairly loose scarlet linen top with a drawstring neck and long, loose sleeves which can be buttoned at her wrists or rolled up to fasten at her elbows. Deep crimson runnerbeasts are embroidered nose to tail along the top's edging. The shirt is cinched at her waist by a slim black belt.

Her linsey-woolsey breeches, cut loose enough to allow for both ease of movement and growth, are fashioned from fabric ingeniously woven in a pattern of alternating shades of crimson and black to reveal runnerbeasts prancing nose to tail up and down Brin's legs.

Gather Dress for Brinalla

Brin's adolescent awkwardness seems to fade away in her breathtaking gather gown. Her dress is made of crushed velvet dyed a rich violet which dramatically highlights the contrast between her fair skin and dark hair. The off-the-shoulder bodice is well-fitting, but not tight, allowing a bit of room for growth. An intricately woven silvery brocade adorns the neckline and hem of her outfit; it is patterned with tiny firelizards dancing amidst cleverly interspersed small hearts on a white background. For modesty, and warmth during winter gathers, a crisp white linen top rises out from under its off-the-shoulder bodice, forming a curving high collar at her throat; its full sleeves flow out from under the bodice's brocaded edging and are gathered in soft folds above the cuffs. The bodice sinks gently into a wide silvery white sash at the waistline; this forms a good-sized bow at the back, the ends of which flow down the length of her full skirt, stopping just above the ankle-length hemline. Matching violet wherhide slippers tied with silvery white ribbon peek out from under the skirt.

Emerald Gather Gown

Date: April 23, 1996
Rank: Journeyrank

Chelsea looks very feminine in a flowing emerald green gather gown of heavy damask subtly patterned with swirling fellis flowers. The poet-style top is loose fitting, with filmy sisal ruffles at the collar and gathered wrists. The collar may be left open to reveal a provocative plunging neckline, or drawn shut into a modest v-neck with matching green cording. Her waist is cinched by a fairly wide tapestry belt. Fellis, trumpet, and other colorful flowers adorn the tapestry, interspersed with the occasional silver-winged VTOL. Double cording of shiny green with silver highlights follows the edges of the belt and then trails beyond it to secure it behind Chelsea's back. Theskirt's full rippling folds fall in swirls down to the flounce at the hemline which just brushes Chelsea's ankles over matching supple wherhide slippers.
