To give you a feel for how many of us there were, take a gander at the group picture. Standing in the back, from left, is Allison "Flower" Vandenburg, Sarah Strange, Emily Ronald, Joyce Atcheson, a lamp (note the portrait above the lamp. Ick. It's supposed to be McClain, for future reference), Joe Faust, Maggie Ronald, me, and Andrew Jones. Sitting on the couch below Andrew, from the right, is Marie Something (I guess you can tell we weren't close!), Trout, Cheryl Koester, McClain Bremer, and Roger. On the floor from the left is Brock Sayre (my boy, isn't he skinny), Liz Cady, Tabitha, Jordan Sipes, Greg Lent, Nate Dean (that is, a tiny part of his head), Cairyn Balle, Maggie and Emily's little sister Sally, and Xavier "X" Rodriguez. I believe this was taken in early spring, at a party that Maggie and Emily and McClain held jointly, as their houses were across from each other's. Girls stayed at the Ronald's, boys stayed at the Bremer's. We watched Rocky Horror and Dead Again and had a lovely time. |
Here's a wacky picture of Emily Ronald acting like a complete freak. In her album this picture is part of a series- one of her looking normal, one of her looking mystified, and then this one. The first caption reads, "Use the force, Luke." The second reads, "Um, Luke?" and this one reads "No, no, you idiot Luke, the FORCE!" |

At Afterprom, Joe and Chris gave a demonstration of dirty dancing. |
Here's a series of Maggie Ronald generally acting like a nut. First off, here's Maggie posing with Jordan's Playgirl Magazine, turned to the Quantum Leap guy's interview. Behind her are our emergency blanket curtains (Walmart, $1.50 each).

And here's Maggie posing with the pumpkin that we carved with out Pumpkin Carving/Brain Surgery kit for the Head Start kids that came to trick-or-treat. We did have costumes (a picture of that will be up shortly): Maggie was a, well, a girl with her face painted, and I was a butterfly. |
lastly, this is Maggie with her Steakburgers hat and Gumby (notice Gumby's outfit of fishnets, pasties and whip- Couture by Laura). Gumby was a tradition in the Academy's Russian class. The teacher would use Gumby to teach prepositional phrases, and there was a running competition among her students to be the first to steal Gumby from her office (to be returned at Graduation, of course). Maggie, I believe, still holds the title for Earliest-of-the-Year Gumby Thief- she had him a month into the school year. We spent many happy hours taking pictures of Gumby in precarious positions and writing ransom notes to the Russian instructor. |

This was taken at the last dance of the year, which was held next door to the Academy in beautiful Elliot Hall. That's maggie on the left and Emily on the right, with me in the center. |
At graduation (or just before) I took the next three photos. This one is of Nate Dean all dressed up. |

I asked Sarah to pose, and this is what I got. :) |
Here are Emily and Maggie just after graduation.
Note that they're each wearing one "ruby slipper" (read:red sneakers with glitter) and that Emily's cap has Helicopter man in tape on it. |
