This summer I unearthed the family heirlooms- a plastic box of mouldering, dust-covered photos. Among them, I found embarrasing pictures of my parents, including this wonderful shot of my father in a beret.
Also I discovered my mother's 5th grade class picture!
This is a portrait of my great grandparents, Rex and Wanda Harden, from around 1987. They both died before I was out of grade school, but I remember them well.
This is a picture of five generations of my family,
including me as a baby. That's my mother holding me,
in the lower right-hand corner. Next to her on the couch
is my great-great grandmother, Esther (Head) Sturgeon.
Standing above her is my grandmother, Julia (Harden) Balz,
and next to her is my great grandmother, Wanda (Sturgeon) Harden.
