Okay, so you're wondering-what the heck is up with this? Well, the picture to the side is a baby being washed in a tub. It reminds me of a funny story my mom tells a lot. I was born two months premature (I was suppose to arrive on Valentine's Day and instead was welcomed the week before Christmas) so when my Mom finally got the opportunity to bath me, she said that as she was placing me into to the tub, I pooped all along the bottom of it. My mom began to cry because she thought she had done something wrong!

Speaking of being born premature, my Mom says the reason I probably came early was because I heard all the talk about Christmas and all the joyful things it brings so I wanted to see what it was all about (and also to get Christmas presents)

I was born in San Antonio TX on December 18, 1979. I weighed 4 lbs and 9 oz and I was 17 inches long.
My siblings-I have two older half brothers named Steven and Lance. Currently not driving me crazy because I live three hours away from them. Oh but I do miss them on occasion (very rare occasion). Steven is 27. He's been married for eight years to Emily and they have two children; Joseph Steven who turned six in January 1999 and Chelsea Rose will be five in December 1999. Lance is turning 23 on August 11, 1999. A few months ago he broke off his engagement and is currently seeing someone new, but we don't know how long it will last. Both of my brothers are hard working individuals.
My mother was born Ann Sharon Myers on July 7. She's the oldest of five, she has three sisters (Deborah, Veronica, and Lynn-that's where my middle name comes from) and a brother (Larry). My mother was born into lower middle class family. She started working when she was nine years old. My mother didn't do extremely well in school, mostly average or slightly above. She grew up in the 60s. Since she really couldn't afford college, she went into the Air Force on her 18th birthday. She worked her way up and 23 years later retired a Senior Master Sergeant (or E8). Well, by then my mom decided to go back to school and become a teacher, something she always wanted to do. My mom earned a degree in business management while she was in the military, but she didn't know what to do with it and the advent of Vietnam totally threw her for a loop. Anyhow, in 1992 she graduated with a degree in Education and now she's an eighth grade World Geography teacher.
My father arrived in the world as Raymond Andrew Warhall on September 18. He was born to a farmer father and a housewife mother. My father was such a country boy. He was the third of nine children. He had an older sister, Betty, and an older brother, Walter, to help him celebrate his first birthday. Later came younger sisters Helen and Carol and brothers Warren, Bernard, Jeff, and Mitchell. My father was voted "Loudest" in his graduating class. He too went into the Air Force after high school. First time he saw my mom, he knew he was going to marry her and he told everyone around them that she was going to be his. And years later it was so. My dad also served in Vietnam, and returned unfortunately a hurting man. He become worst with his drinking problem. He tried to get help, but that didn't work. He left the military when I was four or five. Shortly afterwards, my mother also left him and took me with her. I only saw him once a week afterwards, sometimes not even that. My father unfortunately died on September 22, 1996 at 6:08 pm after a fight with cancer. I remeber the time because my mother took the watch off his wrist and pulled out the knob that sets the time. One day I came into her room and thought the watch needed to be set, so I began to set it and my mother told me the significance of it.
My maternal grandmother is named Mary Ann Clark. She was the only child born to a black father and a Native American mother. She also has Chinese ancestry. She was born in Richmond Virginia but moved to Philadelphia PA when she was two. That's where she met my maternal grandfather-Harry Myers. Harry was a hard working black man who had two brothers and two sisters. My mother was born a year after they married and had moved to Atlantic City New Jersey. Mary Ann was a nurse until her retirement in 1993. She currently lives in Virginia. Harry kept working hard but died in a fire when my mother was sixteen.
My paternal grandfather, like me, was an accident. He was the product of a short term relationship between my black great grandmother and a white man. So Walter Samuel Warhall was born to a single mother. When he was three he gained a black stepfather who he loved like a real dad. He knew my paternal grandmother pretty much all her life. Julia Marie Scott Warhall came into the world as the first child of Mitchell Scott and Betty Warren Scott. She later gained a sister-Sarah Helen Scott. My grandfather died in 1993 and my grandmother joined him in early 1995. My grandfather died of lung cancer; my grandmother of ovarian cancer.
So that's my background. I have ancestors from Scotland, Africa, China, and the US. My great grandmother was from the Mandan tribe of North Dakota. We're not sure of my maternal grandfather's ancestery, we know that he was black but it's uncertain if there is another nationality to him. The distinguishing characteristic on my maternal side is the light skin and shortness which I inherited. I also gained my dad's nose and skinniness. My eyes I'm told are from my Chinese ancestery and I have high cheekbones like the Native Americans.
