(Day 5 of Month 3)
Dear Diary,
After Dessodre, Trenton08 and Narenda Glen completed the Rainbow Challenge successfully in the morning, I wandered around after lunch till bed.
I revisited some place like Hogw@rts school, and visited some new place like Toytown, Anime Doll Inc, and private homes of a bunch of furres. I discovered that it was fashinable in Furcadia to change the looks of visitors to so that they no longer look like a furre. I had been changed to a toy man, something like "Moomin" from the other World, cats etc. in a day.
And I discovered a functioning park with working facilities called Juri's Island Theme Park, which is something quite rare in Furcadia.
At night, Rainbow appeared in front of me, in an exhausted state. I asked about his state, and Rainbow replied that he had been staying at ADOM for the days. No wonder he didn't appear at all. He collapsed into his bracelet form and told me with direct brain connection that he finally knew what was it he found familiar in ADOM.
In ADOM, one would take up an occupation of the tens of occupation available, and belongs to a race of the tens of races available. Then one would go and find a minor quest to train up oneself. But the first thing is that one must survive. One must find food to eat, defend oneself from being attacked to death by monsters, and prevent onself to die from sickness and poison.
Rainbow reported that at the start, he was so afraid that he would attack any monsters in sight after a while, which had proved to be a stupid move, and that so many monsters were killed, and he was killed many times by carelessly knocking into poisonous monsters.
Rainbow left the ADOM after he managed, finally, to control his subconscious tendency to kill and survive whenever he wanted. He still hadn't managed to finish any quest, though, he said. He had come back because he didn't like ADOM. He said that his situation in ADOM was like his past situation. However, he refused to say anymore about that.
And I suddenly got the inspiration to do the Challenge of Wind and Water lying on the bed. There would be the endless cliff, the jump between clouds and the vast sea of Chaos.
Dear Diary,
I tried out some basics with the artificial network program in the morning. It was fun.
And I spent the rest of the day building the Challenge of Wind and Water. Rainbow was recharging under the bright sun in the garden for the whole period of daylight.
I worked till late night, not really noticing that Rainbow had been silent for the whole day.
Dear Diary,
I found some interesting stuff here. Nothing can happen at the same time in Furcadia, and that the smallest time unit is SFT one second. It had posed serious limit on my new game� URGH!!!
Finally, I understood why the monsters couldn't move in a way I want them to. When two things were supposed to happen at the same time in a dream, only one of them will happen. This makes a lot of things and weird incidents sense.
Rainbow was still recharging under the sun, or so it seemed. My mind had been so fed up with the system which produced Time in Furcadia that I had not had the chance to think of what's the matter with Rainbow.
He could think himself, and I have been considering him as a furre since that day he spoke to me like a furre. If he didn't want to tell me, then I am not interested in knowing.
That's just a sort of made-up reason, I must admit. I am just too tired, dear Diary, to try to solve another problem.
