Dreamland I
Now the opening scene with them in the car going to area 51 is what I cll One Big Spark. Come on, why would she tell him about normal lives and ask him if he wnats to settle down and live anormal life. Even though he jokingly says this is a normal life, he knows waht she means. In a normal life, they would have been married and had a couple of little Mulders and Scullys by now. After falling asleep watching the Playboy channel when Flecthers wife Joanne wakes him up the first word out of his mouth is "Scully?" Why would Mulder be thinking of Scull after a fun filled night of the playboy channel, hmm tell me. The second time Joanne wakes him up she tells all " .... that and you mumbled something about Scully in your sleep" Why would he be dreaming about her? When he sees Scully at the door, before Joanne slaps him, he has a big wide happy uncharteristic of Mulder smile on his face. Ok maybe he was just happy to see her but tell me this how many of your best friends know to a tee what you eat for lunch?
"Lately for lunch you've been having like this little 6oz ( notice he knows the size) cup of yogurt, plain yogurt ( notice he also knows the flavor) in which you stir in some bee pollen because your on some kind of bee pollen kick eventhough I tell you your a scientist and you should know better." When Scully is her usual doubtful self Mulder says " Even that yogurt thing." Well it impressed me. He must really be watching her to know that.
Dreamland II
" We are Partners" in more ways than one. Sparks start late in this episode but they are good strong Sparks when they come.
When Scully explains why they can't change Mulder back, there is a hidden message on how the met, stay together,and love each other.
"It's about a random moment in time, a series of variables approaching an event horizon." What event horizon? The realization that you are more than friends and partners? After he is told he can't get back, the look in his eyes tells all. The red rimmed loving regretful glance. Both of them look away to hide brimming tears. Then Scully says " I'm out of the Bureau" Mulder says " No . . . you could make them understand, youcould get your job back." The look in her eye speaks volumes. Even if she could , she wouldn't want her job back with out him. The she voices the look with a perfect sparks moment " I'd kiss you if you were so Damned ugly" Mulder smiles hopeful, then disappointed its obvious he wanted that kiss. Scully closes her eyes takes a deep breath, touches his arm lets her fingers linger over him then looks away regaining the Scully reserve. When she begins to walk away. Mulder calls her gives her a handful of sunflower seeds grabs one watches her. she looks up from her hand like she was punched inthe stomach, getting the full impact of what she is losing with Mulder, Trust , Love, Admiration, then gets in the car. When they pull away, Mulder looks angry, then sad, then abadoned, his eyes get red again , fill with tears and he gets his ugly ready to cry face on and turns in the shadows to hide his tears. Now tell me that Scene wasn't One Big Spark.
One Son
In One Son, Mulder was being a big time jerk . That's okay though cause he apologizes at the end in his own way.
In the Shower scene, Mulder gets a good peek at a naked Scully.
Then trying to Disprove Fowley to a ever Stubborn Mulder, Scully says " I can't help you anymore."
" Scully your making this personal"
"It is personal Mulder, without the FBI personal interset is all I have and if you take that away there is no reason for me to continue." Mulder got the meaning and went to investigate Fowley running into the Smoking Man who seemed quite at home in her apartment. Now let me explain. It's personal because of Cassandra and Mulder two people who she cares about who are being manipulated by Jaws sorry I mean Fowley. Mulder especially who believes every thing Fowley tells him no matter how much evidence there is that she is not on his side. He sees this when she is not there at the hanger where the syndicate burned. When they explain the hangar incident to Kersh, mulder apologizes " burned themselves . .. they thought they could sleep with the enemy only to awaken another." While saying this he turns to Scully locking eyes with her. Scully blinks the perfunctionary Eye blink which says she understand and accepts his apology then she verbal acknowledges it by backing him up.
Arcadia
I love this episode. It was for lack of a better word AWESOME!!! Just imagine Mulder and Scully married. Foreshadowing??
After the neighbor runs off after Scully asks about the previous owners Mulder still has his arm around Scully. he notices looks at her with longing loving look, he must realize how natural it feels, then looks hurt when Scully motions for him to back off.
When they are moved in Scully breathlessly asks, " You ready?" Mulder replys
"Let's get it on honey." Exchange looks both waiting for the other to make the first move
before Scully hands him the gloves. Just the usual inneundo but it was the sound of Scully's voice that caught my attention. While recording, Scully lingers over Mulder when ever she comes across him.
" Ready to make that honeymoon video now?" The Mulder leer, and the knwing smile by Scully, then during a brief conversation Mulder realizes why she wanted this case.
" Wow admit it, you just want to play house." The look Scully tries to hide tells all. When returning Big Mike's dishes Mulders hand rest along Scullys shouldes s the wlk away then slides gently along her back as he turn to ask about Mr. Gogolak. Sorry but its just me.
While on the couch in Mr. Gogolak's house, Mulder hs his arm around her, crosses his legs towards her, and places his hand on her arm. Scully Repeatedly places her hand over his, then removes it quickly when she notices it there embrasses. She also looks at him with loving stares when he notices she looks away.
when rising from the table tries to put arms around her for a kiss, Scully does an air kiss, disappointed Mulder smiles extra wide.
Now, The Thrill is gone scene, tell me what did Mulder expect her to look like when she exited the bathroom? He was definitely waiting for something else because of his reaction. The Way he said the thrill is gone with such a disappointed voice makes me wonder what would have happened if she had let him stay in her room.
When Mulder sees that the house has been broken into by the Tulpa, he has that scared worried Mulder look and voice. His voice is low, tentative scre apprehensive when he entered the room. Duane Barry Flashbacks no doubt. Then he rips at the Door frenzied when he finds her.
