In Ascension, Mulder meets Scully's mom after she is kidnapped. He goes without sleep for days until he finds her. He threatens the tram operater with his gun in order to get to Scully. When the tram stops he climbs out prepared to go the rest of the way up by hand. Now tell me, where did he think he was going? He is who knows how many feet in the air, so where's he climbing off to? When your sleep deprived some people do some strange things. When interrogating Duane Barry, I firmly believe he would have killed him if he had not of regained control because he felt he had hurt Scully. A Brief Aside, Mulder is very feminine with his feelings. You see this by how easily he bursts into tears whenever he is stressed or upset. It is also obvious that Scully's mom likes Mulder.
In One Breath , Scully is returned. Mulder freaks out at the hospital when they do not know how she got here. He feels the need to save her or exact revenge on whoever did this to her. " I will do anything, whatever it takes, I'll find out what they did to her." Now I know you may say any partner would say that. Yes, but with Tearful Hysterics? Melissa Scully sees through their just friends facade. During the you can feel her here scene and through out the entire episode, she is a font of knowledge and wisdom on Mulder's feelings. When he says he can't feel anything she says " Your Anger, your fear blocks any postive emotion she makes you feel." Then when Mulder decides to stay home and avenge Scully, when the people who put her in the condition come to his house, Melissa arrives saying Scully is weakening. As he tries to hurry her out of his house she says " Why is it so much easier for you to run around trying to get even, than just expressing to her how you feel? I expect more from you, Dana expects more from you" then before she leaves "Even if it doesn't bring her back at least she'll know and so will you." Know what?? That he loves her?? That his world is not complete without her? That he is not a whole person without her? And Mulder, what positive emotion does Scullymake you feel??
Now when Scully regains consciousness she tells Mulder when he comes to visit, " Mulder, I had the strength of your beliefs." What beliefs? That you would be OK?? That he cares for you more than he lets on?? The Strength of his unbridled passion for you?? Ok maybe I am reading too much into that Statement. Then Maybe I'm not

Stops after Mulder is hit by car Frantic goes into Doctor mode touches him everywhere in seconds.Then Mulde convinces her he's ok and says
" Don't lose him"And touches her hand affectionately and watches her run off.
End game
Pacing in Apt when Bounty hunter takes Scully. duane Barry flashbacks
looks scared when he sees Scully in a headlock by bounty hunter. Scully realizes she's being traded for Mulder's sister doesn't say anything.
" Scully you alright, you ok?"puts out arm to hold her and balance her.
Then the next day when Mulder is looking for sister in the river
" Why didn't you tell me on the phone it was her."
"I couldn't tell you cause you'd never let me go through with it." Darn tooting.
then when trying to explain it to his father
" I can't explain it I believed i was doing the right thing dad" It's called love sweetie.
Then when he vanishes Scully goes to his apt to look her clues Mulder leaves her a message on his computer
" I can't let you jepardize your life and your career for reasons purely persona to me." How sweet. Then Scully goes to Skinners in tears " he's gone" and beggs Skinner to help her. Skinner tries to convince her against foloowing but Sculy says
"Agent Mulder saved my life" Skinner loves Scully, he admires her, and he has the biggest crush on her since Pendrell. as soon as she leaves he can't think of anything but her and goes to get her what she needs
" Did you tell her what she wanted to know?" Skinner asks X before breaking him down. he arrives at Mulder apt bloodies and tells her where Mulder is.
I always loved the end of this episode because Scully took control, she regulated up in the outpost hospital. Go Scully Go Scully GO!!. When they get a pulse she says he's going to make it and ruffles his hair and lets her fingers linger over his face. Then she watches over him till he is OK. That right Scully Take care of Your man. sorry I like the last part alot.
