This story came about after repeated watchings of Zalman King's Red Shoe Diaries. Red Shoes Jake and Mulder had so much in common it just seemed so natural to switch situations on them. Plus the imagery of Red Shoes was just so powerful to me, I had to try and write it. That Bathroom!!(long story) I was inspired! :-) Hope you like it, this isn't alternative reality, Mulder and Scully are still in the FBI. This is more of a pre-XF flashback with some past M/O coming into play. Have fun! This is rated Pg to R for some Mulder/other . . . well you know, and character death.
