Fight The Future

The X-files movie was one big tease. It tested Shippers like me to the limit. It had us screaming out of frustration from unfulfilled hopes. We'll start with the biggest tease of all the Hallway scene which as of yet has not be resolved. Next season CC, Next season or by golly I'm going to hunt you down and make you write some hallway scene resolution! Now for the hallway.


" Please don't do this" " I need you on this Scully" Mulder assumes Alpha Male stance " You don't need me Mulder. You never have. I've just held you back." Scully leaves before her reserve breaks down. Mulder debates going after her for a millisecond then runs after her. When she knows he's followed , she closes her eyes mustering up the last of her reserve. " why did they assign me to you mulder to debunk your work to rein you in to shut you down!" " But you saved me. As, as difficult and as frustrating its been your strict rationalism and science has saved me a thousand times over. You've kept me honest, you've made me a whole person( crying sound in his voice makes it crack slightly) I owe you everything Scully you owe me nothing. I don't know if I want to do this alone. I don't even know if I can and if I quit now they win." he looks at her, her eyes full of tears, his full of desire. They gaze at each other. they fall in to each others arms. He encircles her with his arms, she rest her cheek on his chest, his head is against her neck. she thinks about it then plants a firm kiss on his bowed forehead, her hand gripping the back of his neck tightly in case he tries to pull away. She places her forehead on the spot she just kissed, and they both close there eyes savoring the moment He opens his eyes quickly and cups her face in his hands. She looks deeep into his soul. her lips try to form words, a single tear rolls down her face. She tilts her head slightly. Mulder gazes at her, his eyes dark with desire as they inch forward towards a release. His thumb smoothes back the soft hair framing her face there heads tilt slightly. They hover there for a moment, there lips millimeters apart, then Mulder's lips lightly brush against hers, herlips part inviting a deeper kiss and closes her eyes again. Then that DARN BEE makes it's presence known " OW Jesus." Scully said pissed, Mulder fearing that he may have hurt her says "I'm sorry." Lets his hand linger around her neck, caressing the skin there lightly. " No something stung me." Mulder looks at bee then looks in the back of her shirt, massaging the area where she was stung lightly while cradling her in his arms, petting her hair with his other hand. She gets weak and he grabs her waist, she grabs his arm. Mulder runs to the phone, emotions in this voice as he calls 911.
