Scott is playing safari, this involves pointing a camera at the three girls (Julie, Kathy and Min) and talking about lionesses. He tells them he's been reading a book about safari, shows them a picture and tells them that safari is Swahili for "to go on a trip". They all think that safari sounds like fun so they decide to pretend to be on safari. Barney immediately shows up wearing safari gear and of course all the children are thrilled to see it and give it a big hug, I *really* hope lions like Eggplant >:o)=.
They sing a song about what you can see on safari, they all have cameras (kiddy ones) and pretend to take pictures. They play a game where one person has to pretend to be an animal, it'a meant to be like hide and seek, but there doesn't seem to be a lot of hiding or seeking, it's all just guessing the animal then singing a song about it.
Julie goes first and is a crocodile, they sing about a lady getting a ride on a crocodile, *bad* idea. They even have some realism in the song, "At the end of the ride the lady was inside and the smile was on the crocodile", I liked that song >:o)=.
Kathy goes next and she's an elephant, then they sing about that. Then they hear a noise from the tree house and go and look what's going on. Baby Bop is in there, she wants to join in and is pretending to be a monkey. The ginger kid was going to be a monkey next, so was Min, Barney: "then we have three monkeys" and they all sing a song about three little monkeys jumping on the bed and falling off. In reality I think this scene would have been something more like: "I want to" "no I do" "I wanna" "I wanna" *pout* *footstomp* *thump* *wallop* *cry* :o).
The story lady is in the classroom but there's noone there, she took a wrong turining at New Zealand so she leaves again and forgets her cat. Baby Bop sees the cat and thinks it's a tiger. The ginger kid is being a tiger (as part of the game) then the cat comes and join them. One of the children reminds the others that they shouldn't touch stray cats or dogs, but Barney says it's OK because he recognises the collar, it's a good thing that the lesson was put in there, but it would be nice if there was some explaination of why (beyond "my mother told me not to").
Barney tells them about animals that are related to cats, he brings up the adventure screen to show them wild cats (lions, tigers, leopards). Baby Bop goes off to tell BJ about cats. The children decide to make puppet friends for the cat, they don't show the children making the puppets and they look a lot better than something a kid of the age the show is aimed at could manage to copy, especially without any instructions.
They sing a song with the puppets "there are cats in the jungle and there are cats in the sea", cats in the sea? Umm... No(tm).
Stella comes back and finds the cat. then tells them a story about a lion and a mouse, the moral of the story "you are never to big to accept help, and never to small to give help", nothing wrong with that so far as I can see.
Stella leaves and takes the cat with her, ginger brat: "I'm going to miss that little kitty", with a *huge* grin on his face, not quite the facial expression normally associated with missing something. Besides, it's OK, they still have their pretend cats and each other, how sweet *barf*. They sing That Song then it's the end at last.
