I am in my third year and will be graduating next summer. This year I am studying Genetics, which I think is very interesting. There are a lot of insane people in the genetics department which makes it even more interesting :o). After graduating I am hoping to do a PhD, I am most interested in mammalian genetics so I'm hoping to do a PhD on that. At the moment I'm working on my lab project, it's on the mammalian fragile sites, which means I get to do cool stuff like make pretty pictures of flourescent chromosomes :o). My dissertation was on the biological role of imprinting, fortunatly I'm not quite sad enough to put it on my web page. But I am sad enough to have some pictures of chromosomes from my project here.. #1 #2 #3. If anyone is actually interested enough to want to know more about them, email me :o)
In my spare time I trampoline and am a member of Cambridge University Trampoline Club. I am also a member of St. John's College Film Society, last year I was a projectionist, this year I am head of publicity.
I spend far too much time on the internet! I am a member of The Jihad to destroy Barney the Dinosaur and play on alt.tv.barney and alt.barney.dinosaur.die.die.die, and #tjab and #barney on (ch)undernet.
I watch TV occasionally, I like to watch Babylon 5, NYPD Blue, Friends and ER, and some other stuff depending on how bored I am. Because I'm a student I have to watch Teletubbies occasionally... But only when I am very very hungover/drunk... Run away! Run away!
