A TEST PILOT WHO MAY HAVE BEEN FLYING AIRCRAFT MADE WITH ALIEN TECHNOLOGY DISAPPEARS, AND MULDER AND SCULLY MUST DEFY THEIR OWN GOVERNMENT TO FIND THE TRUTH.

Six top notch Air Force test pilots have disappeared after flying ultra secret experimental aircraft at Ellens AFB. When the wife of the latest victim files a missing persons report with the FBI, Mulder jumps at the chance to confirm his theory that the government is building aircraft with captured UFO technology. A mysterious informant, known only as "Deep Throat" , appears and warns Mulder not to get involved in the case, but Mulder plunges in anyway. He and Scully witness an aerial display that defies knowledge of current technology, and find two unlikely allies in a pair of zoned-out teens who show Mulder a way onto the base. But when Mulder is captured and drugged to erase his memory, Scully must break more than one rule to get him back.

Notes

The title refers to the best darn informant to come down the pike, Deep Throat, which as you may or may not know, was also the name of the informant in the Watergate affair.

The file number for this case is #DF101364 (note the 1013 part)

The license Scully calls in is number CC1356, a reference to Chris Carter's (CC) full birthdate 0/13/56.

Colonel Budahas states his birthdate as 11/21/48.

Note the name of the author of the article Scully reads on the microfiche machine, Chris Carter.

Mulder: "Can I buy you a drink?"

Scully: "It's two o'clock in the afternoon, Agent Mulder."

Mulder: "That's not stopping the rest of these people."

____________________________________________________________

Scully: "What reason would the military have to kidnap one of their own pilots?"

Mulder: "That's the sixty-four thousand dollar question, Scully."

____________________________________________________________

Mulder: "So, you and I are going to the spud state to investigate a little kidnapping."

Scully: "I don't get it Mulder. Does this have something to do with an X-file? I thought you only liked those paranormal type cases. Am I missing something here?"

Mulder: "Let's just say this case has a distinct smell to it. A certain paranormal bouquet."

____________________________________________________________

Deep Throat: "Leave this case alone Agent Mulder."

Mulder: "What?"

Deep Throat: "The military will not tolerate an FBI investigation."

Mulder: "Who are you?"

Deep Throat: "I can be of help to you. I've had a certain interest in your work."

(there is a knock on the door, we see that it has been bolted from the inside) Voice: "Sorry."

Mulder: "How do you know about my work?"

Deep Throat: "Well, let's just say that I'm in a position to know quite a lot of things, er, things about our government."

Mulder: "Who are you? Who do you work for?"

Deep Throat: "It's unimportant, I came here to give you some valuable advice. You are exposing yourself and Agent Scully to unnecessary risk, I advise you to drop the case."

Mulder: "I can't do that."

Deep Throat: "You have much work to do Agent Mulder, (he unlocks the door) don't jeopardise the future of your own efforts."

____________________________________________________________

Mulder: "So what do you make of Uncle Fester, down the street?"

____________________________________________________________

Scully: "Is this why we came out here, Mulder? To look for UFO's? Yeah, this is gonna look real good on my field report."

____________________________________________________________

Mulder: "Later, dude!"

____________________________________________________________

(Scully & Mulder are in the car; Mulder puts a tape into tapedeck)

Scully: "What's that?"

Mulder: "Evidence." (music starts playing, loud heavy metal music. Scully looks disgusted and promptly turns it off)

Mulder: "Kids today, huh?"

Scully: "You believe it all, don't you?"

Mulder: "Why wouldn't I?" (Scully grins)

Scully: "Mulder, did you see their eyes? If I were that stoned..."

Mulder: "Oooh, if you were that stoned, what?"

____________________________________________________________

Scully: "Mulder, come on. You've got two blurry photos, one of them taken almost 50 years ago, and another one you purchased today in a roadside diner. You're going out on a pretty big limb."

Mulder: "Tell me there isn't a remarkable resemblance."

Scully: "Tell me one good reason why either of these photos is authentic."

Mulder: "You saw exactly what I saw in the sky tonight. What do you think they were?"

Scully: "Just because I can't explain it, doesn't mean I'm going to believe they were UFOs."

Mulder: "Unidentified Flying Objects. I think that fits the discription pretty well. Tell me I'm crazy."

Scully: "Mulder, you're crazy."

____________________________________________________________

Anita Budahas: "That is not him. That is not my husband. They've done something to him."

____________________________________________________________

(their car has been blocked, a man is knocking on the window)

Mulder: "If we ignore them, do you think they'll go away?"

____________________________________________________________

Mulder: "Why would they go to all this trouble? Out of a need for security. Security of what? I think there's a huge conspiracy here Scully. They've got a UFO here, I'm sure of it. And they'll do anything to keep it a secret, including sacrificing lives and minds of those pilots, because what if that secret got out."

Scully: "If, if that were true, it would be a national scandal."

Mulder: "No no, you're not thinking big enough, if it were true, it would be confirmation of the existence of extra terrestrial life."

Scully: "Did you ever stop to think that what we saw was simply an experimental plane. Like the stealth bomber or, this Aurora Project. Doesn't the government have a right and a responsibility, to protect it's secrets?"

Mulder: "Yes, but at what cost, when does the human cost become too high for the building of a better machine."

____________________________________________________________

Emil: "Oh man, did we tell him about the landmines and junk? HEY!"

____________________________________________________________

Deep Throat: "Your lives, may be in danger."

Mulder: "Why?"

Deep Throat: "Mmm, you've seen things that weren't to be seen. Care and discretion are now imperative."

Mulder: "I saw something I..."

Deep Throat: "As I said, I can provide you with information, but only so long as it's in my best interest to do so."

Mulder: "What is your interest?"

Deep Throat: "The truth."

Mulder: "I did see something, but it's gone, they took it from me, they erased it. You have to tell me what it was."

Deep Throat: "A military UFO? Mr. Mulder, why are those like yourself, who believe in the existence of extraterrestrial life on this earth, not dissuaded by all the evidence to the contrary?"

Mulder: "Because, all the evidence to the contrary is not entirely dissuasive."

Deep Throat: "Precisely." (Deep Throat walks away)

Mulder: "They're here, aren't they." (Deep Throat stops and turns to face Mulder)

Deep Throat: "Mr. Mulder, they've been here for a long long time."
