Cyndahl goddess of Silt
Cyndahl is easily the oldest goddess on Kridxen next
to
Alpha herself. Her essence started out mere moments after
Tarhil’s
sacrifice. Cyndahl’s apearance sparked a war that lasted 53 years
between
the determined religion of Tarhil and the upcoming goddess’
following.
At the end of the 53 years of war it is said by Tarhil’s
followers
that the two goddesses merely met each other on the battlefield showing
the
fact that they were two seperate entities. This revelation
allowed
the cult of Cyndahl to worship without persecution from the religion of
Tarhil.
Cyndahl’s history books speak of a glorious battle
where
the goddess herself came down and beat back Tarhill’s faith with her
own
earthy hands in a glorious victory, winning their freedom to worship.
Cyndahl’s physical presence had been lost in the
seas
of time that she’s been around for. At one point in time there
were
two separate descriptions of the goddess in the same book that said she
had
a pair of white eyes and sandy brown hair whereas later on her eyes had
somehow
became blue as the sky and her wings were the exact mahogany as her
hair.
With so much confusion in her followers she began to look quite odd to
say
the least.
After a short talk with Alpha it was decided that
with
the invention of the written word she would be allowed to walk amongst
the
mortals once more to clear up all the hearsay.
Her first appearance was in the heart of Oritoshi
proudly
claiming that she had returned by proveing her strength in an arm
wrestling
match with the whole city of Hame-gate. She
called
all the scribes in the large town and all the neighboring cities to
come
to the small town to witness her gift to Kridxen. When all were
gathered
together she told them all of Alpha’s gift to them. Scattered her
bosom,
Alpha had placed four gates to the sacred celestial spheres. Upon
each
gate the mortals were instructed to build a church of magnificent
proportions.
When making these wonders they were not to consider themselves overly
worried
about the basic laws of existence and structure. They were not to
use
constructors, but artists for these labors. Alpha’s hands would
hold
up the stones that should fall, with her grip the cement-less bricks
would
steadfast, and the impossible would be commonplace.
Lo and behold at that moment she turned from the
many
scribes and spread her wings eagle along with the rest of her limbs,
and
the earth shook, the sky whirled its clouds and the wind rushed into
the
small village as reality itself rifted, gargantuan hands of rock
mimicked
the angel’s as she brought them up to cup the sky, thus the first gate
was
opened.
She turned to the crowd and spoke again, telling
them
that she was the only motherless angel that would ever be. Her
four
sisters would come from the womb of a very mortal woman. One
who’s
personality and life would be the epitome of her element.
Unfortunately,
she didn’t describe exactly how numerous and of what element her
sisters
would be. Only four sisters have been discovered as of yet.
It
is still unknown if there will be more that will emerge from the
masses.
While on earth Cyndahl set in motion the first movement away from the
earthly
religion that Tarhil and herself had fought so viciously over only 700
years
earlier. She became very pregnant during the spring that she
spent
on Kridxen. She constantly complained about back problems,
blameing
her sandstone wings constantly. Amazingly enough she helped draw
up
the schematics for the cathedral that would encompass the gate that she
had
made. She constantly referred to it and made it the focus of
everyone’s
labor.
“Do it for the gate” was spoken not only by her but
by
most of the laborers as well. “Do it for the good of Kridxen,
your
world needs this place to be protected. I will not be here for
much
longer to personally protect it, but I will check up on your work when
the
trees bud and the rain comes. When I am gone, remember the idol
and
remember your goddess.”
To this day, the cathedral in Hame-gate stands by
Alpha’s
support and grip.
Interestingly enough, each of the other 3 religons
of
Alpha include the book of the earth in their covers, even Nubis' book,
though
the book of the earth isn't considered neccicary reading material, it
is
still included. Cyndahl's main task on Kridxen was to treach the
people
how to worship their goddess correctly. She is still seen in this
light
today as the teacher, the nurturear of knowledge and re-kindler of
spirits.
