1. Features such as colour restoration, enhancement, colourising and beautifying are done using software based on information found inside the photos.

 

Please note that, not all will yield the desired results, especially if the needed information is lacking within the photos.

 

    1. Original scan and colour restoration scan copies that are scanned in 1200 dpi will have resolution of 5720 x 4160 (approximately for a 3R photo).

 

However as for the rest of the features such as enhancement, colourising and beautifying, the resolutions are lower at approximately 3072 x 2184 (for all photo sizes) due to software limitations.

 

Although their resolutions are slightly lower than those 1200 dpi scans, they are still good enough for their purpose of having clear enough copies to be enjoyed.

 

    1. A space of less than 1mm at all sides of the printed photo will be missing due to cropping, as 100% is not easy to achieve and it is very time consuming.

 

However, chances are, you will not notice it as the missing parts are too small, and they are at the sides

 

    1. If your printed photos are not sorted, we recommend you to sort them prior sending to us.

 

This is because in our experience, it is easier and faster to sort them in physical form, than when they are in softcopies.

 

    1. All shipping costs (send out and return) of the printed photos shall be borne by the customer.

 

    1. If you are sending out using courier, please make sure they are packed with plenty of protection against damages and cover with layers of plastic to ensure they are waterproofed.

 

    1. 4896OPDS cannot be held liable for any damages to the photos, before, during and after the scanning process.
