PE fire causes millions in damages -Port Elizabeth - A fire caused millions of rands in damage to two warehouses in North End in Port Elizabeth on Friday night, Eastern Cape police said on Saturday. Superintendent Johan Van Greuenen said the fire started at around 8pm at the Wolff and Johnstone warehouse. "The fire spread to the Nestle warehouse which was completely destroyed," van Greunen said. Security guards were alerted to the fire after an alarm had been set off. Firefighters battled for hours to extinguish the blaze and to prevent it from spreading to other buildings. The Wolff and Johnstone warehouse contained grocery supplies, wool and seven delivery vehicles. The cause of the fire is not yet known. - Sapa
