SEARCH I. PURPOSE AND RESCUE ANNEX The Search and Rescue Annex outlines the policies and procedures by which trained and equipped response forces are to perform effective emergency rescue operations. Response personnel will locate, identify and evacuate survivors, the injured in need of medical treatment and/ or decontamination, the marooned and remove the dead from the disaster area, as designated by the response team.
