The Chiefs' Motto

The Chiefs' Motto

1. I recognize that the primary purpose of my public safety organization is to enhance the well being of my community. Providing high paying jobs for people who cannot get into college is not the primary purpose of my organization.

2. I will always seek to provide the highest level of public safety for my community. I will always seek the greatest level of resources and equipment to attain this goal. If the political or community structure will not provide the requested level of funding, then I will strive to have my organization provide the highest level of service within the current budget.

3. I will strive to make my organization as accessible to the public as possible. I will not encourage public safety workers to maintain a bunker mentality nor to lie constantly.

4. I will strive to encourage a society that favors fairness and kindness, not brutality and murder.

5. I recognize that I am the focal point of all communications between my agency and my community, adjacent communities, and the world.

6. Even though career advancement is important to me, I also recognize that the good of the community comes before my own personal gain.
