Port Authority Semi Auto Defibs

Listing of Radio Freqs and Fire Vehicles - May 1999 Info

Nov 00 - there is a unofficial webpage for the PA Fire Academy - 1 or 2 pages of info - and of course the Port Authority has a Official Webpage with a little public safety info (most of it is in the press releases) - the www.w2nov.net website has talkgroups for the PA 800TRS and other freq info

-----------------------------------------------

Here is the license info from the FCC website for WNNM887 Port Authority NY and NJ - May 2000 license - 866.2125 + 866.8125 + 867.375 + 867.875 + 868.55 + 868.60 + 868.9125 - 4 transmit sites - each site has all 7 freqs

2 World Trade Center - 420 meters (distance from ground to top of tip of antenna) - ERP500 - 150 watts - 3/95 first used

JFK Airport Building 14 - 20 meters high - ERP968 - 150W - 3/00 first used

George Washington Bridge - ERP500 - 150 watts - 183 meters - 3/95 first used

Todt Hill Road on Staten Island - ground is 122 meters above sea level - tip of antenna is 91 meters above the ground level at that point - ERP900 - 150W - 10/95 first used

mobile radios - 700 radios at 35ERP / 35W each (on 821 + 822 + 823 Mhz) - plus - on 868.9125 there are 700 mobiles listed for ERP7.5/7.5 watts

It looks like this is either a synchronized simulcast system or a steered transmit system. Or I suppose that the World Trade Center could be the primary repeater site with the other sites being just receiver sites or stanby/backup transmitter sites. I cant tell from the FCC info.

Talkgroup info can be found at http://www.n2nov.net/PAPD800.html
