[the night dispatch channel is probably a "multi-select" function activated by the dispatcher - probably each fire station switchs to a seperate dispatch TG at night - the dispatcher multi-selects the Day Dispatch TG and the required Nite Dispatch TGs on each call during the nightime - this way, stations that are not required to respond on a call do not hear any radio traffic - Peter S]

July 28, 2000 - items from [email protected] - Here in Savannah, there are three hospitals. Each hospital ER has it's own talkgroup on the TRS. They also maintain the 155.340 HEAR channel as well. With many rural counties sending ambulances to the hospitals, they have to keep 155.340 around. It really seems to differ among crews rather whether 155.340 or the 800 channel is used. The trucks from the 3 EMS providers here have at least VHF and 800 radios and one service has UHF radios in addition. No info on telemetry.
