October 4, 1999 - Littleton FD and South Metro FD have switched to 800T as of 1400 hours. On 154.34 the dispatcher will still be heard via a patch. (The 800T system that they are joining is apparently the Douglas County 800T system.)

Jeff Co Sheriff Office Dispatch Center - dispatch 5 police agencies and 11 volunteer fire departments (VFDs) - budgeted for 1 manager, 3 supervisors, 18 dispatchers, and 11 calltakers. Staff is divided into 3 shifts which results in normal staffing of 1 supervisor, 6 dispatchers, and at least 2 calltakers. A total of 7 dispatch consoles are used - 4 for radio operators and 3 for calltakers. The dispatch consoles have radio gear and 911 gear. The calltaker consoles have 911 gear and PBX gear. In April of 1999 a new comm center was opened and the old 15 inch monitors were replaced with 21 inch units. In addition, new furniture and a new phone system was put into use.
