Third Eye Blind remains silent about a lawsuit filed against the band by former guitarist Kevin Cadogan. While the band will not acknowledge the lawsuit, Third Eye Blind singer Stephan Jenkins has commented about the role of new guitarist, Tony Fredianelli. "Things have shifted a lot in the band because he's a very aggressive kind of player," said Jenkins, "and he's sort of added a lot of velocity to our band." Cadogan charges that Jenkins wanted control over a large money deal that Elektra offered the band to record an album. "It was a money thing," said Cadogan, "it was a Sierra Madre thing - 'It's gold and it's mine.'" Third Eye Blind, with new guitarist, kicked off its tour Friday in Minneapolis. The band will hit more than 24 cities and wind up Aug. 12 in Raleigh, N.C. Cadogan has started his own band, "Bully," which is expected to release an album later this year on the guitarist's own label, Tossed-Out Records.
